I frequently change cars because I love to learn and experience new vehicles. I bought a new 2020 RR Defender and traded it after 5 months for the X5. I wasn't really looking for a new car but fell in love with the X5 while accompanying a friend on a test drive. I really like that it handles like an ultimate driving machine. And the drive characteristics are extremely customizable. It's quiet, quick and comfortable. No squeaks or rattles - the RR had a few. It's a solid German example of automotive excellence.

Will Stanley made sure that I was well informed and kept me up to date on all of the necessary steps in purchasing a car from out of state. He willing provided answers to my specific questions and also volunteered additional details that he thought would help me make decide on the perfect vehicle for me. The inspection of the car and fixing the discovered problems was a great idea to ease my concerns about purchasing a used car. Will was very patient and stayed late as my credit card company was concerned about the large out of state down payment amount but after jumping over multiple hurdles with multiple managers we were able to get the charge okayed. Thanks again Will for hanging in there with me. Will also lined up a transport company that was able to ship the car directly to me which was very convenient. This is me second sale to Carmax. The first sale went smoothly and everything they said was true! People who turn their car into the dealer are totally getting screwed. For example I turned in a 2020 c300 early this year. The payoff was $32k; I got $36k from Carmax. Unbelievable. However, companies like Mercedes allowed Carmax to pay off the lease. Now they require you to buy out the lease so you have to come up with the cash and then you have to wait until you get the title before you can go to Carmax. Sounds like a little anti trust behavior.

I can’t say enough about how positive my experience was with this store. They worked so hard to work with us and get us the best deal possible. I never felt like we were on opposite sides. I went in a bit nervous but never felt like they were pushy or trying to wheel and deal me. I felt very taken care of and like they were on my side. I highly recommend!
