It's all about the B58 in the M40i. I dinged it one star on comfort because this little SUV rides quite "sporty" even in Comfort mode. I absolutely love this about the car, but I could see how some would feel this is too harsh as it is not a luxurious, cushy ride. But tuck this little beast into a fast corner and it's just...wow! This little German SUV is a sleeper. While the X3M is very nice, the M40i is the perfect balance in my opinion. BMW has really stepped up their game in the X3.

They’re good at what they do. They low-balled me big time on my trade in but I was able to talk them up to something I could live with. They also worked with me on some extra touch ups my wife and I wanted done to scratches on the passenger door. Overall, a pleasant experience. Izzy was a great salesman and Anya in finance is great! My truck was priced nicely and it was too good of a deal to pass on so I’m quite satisfied overall.

I love the car and at the same time I can't help to hate it. What I love about the car would be the luxurious interior, comfortable and quiet cabin, smooth ride, ease of access, and a few extra features that were put in as an add-on. What I don't like about this car would be the poor fuel economy for the 30i model, especially when compared to the B-58 engine. Apple carplay connection issues, no option for remote start unless I want to void warranty, and no option for the iDrive Recorder App. Exterior Styling - 8.5/10 Interior Styling - 9/10 Comfort - 9.5/10 Cargo space - 8.5/10 Driving smoothness - 9.5/10 Horsepower - 7/10 Fuel Economy - 3/10 It's been an overall fun car to get around in. It's easy to get in and out of, smooth on bumpy roads, and it is quiet. The fact that only 2022 models and newer offer remote start and iDrive recorder is a big disappointment. But I think my biggest disappointment would be the fuel economy. As I had the B-58 in the past and averaged out 11.5L/100km and in this X3 am averaging 13.5/100km which was worse than my pick up truck. I might not keep this car for long-term just because of how poor the fuel economy is.

I cannot believe that BMW put a 4 cylinder with turbo in an X3. It is the single problem I have with my car. otherwise it is perfect. The 6 cylinder in my 2005 was Awesome!!!!! BMW stands for Performance, GIVE IT.

This 4000 lb beast maneuvers like a sports car. As someone who's always been passionate about cars, I leaned towards vehicles like the 3 series coupe or Audi A5. However, when the need for family space arose, SUVs felt dull. Then I got behind the wheel of the X5. It's a revelation—you truly don't have to compromise. There's ample space, exceptional handling, and a range of engines from powerful to downright exhilarating (like the X5M).

STAR AUTO MALL: Worst car dealer EVER! I bought a 2017 BMW X3. They never checked the car! I had problems immediately! I called, emailed & texted... Star Auto Mall would NOT return my calls, texts or emails! I went to BMW dealer, and they found lots of issues! Wires hanging down, tires rubbing, etc. It cost me $480 to fix it! I billed Star Auto Mall, and it looks like they're just chucking me the finger!! AVOID these incompetent thieves! Its like Apple, once you get an iPhone, it is hard to switch ! Bought a CPO, which gives us more time. Nice car. Good power. Have to constantly check the speedometer to ensure we stay within limits ! So silent and smooth... Love it !

I love this car so much! As a traveling doctor, this vehicle has safely climb passes cover in snow and ice, held steady on black ice, muscled through torrential downpour rain and never faultered. I love this car. Probably more than I ever thought I could love a car. Performance: The car has got some power. More than enough for rational people. Full disclosure - I bought this car to tune the heck out of it. And I did. I put new intakes, charge pipes, tuned for E30 and HOLY COW. This car is an absolute sleeper. It makes over 600 hp and 700ft/lbs of torque. Sport mode opens the exhaust flaps on the car to grace everyone around with a heavenly V8 sound. The twin turbos scrolling will never not get old. I did a sub 3 second 0-60. M5 performance for 2000$ in parts & tune? Sign me up. ZF 8 speed shifts quickly and smoothly. Comfort: I have a fully loaded model. Heated, ventilated, and full body massage seats are nice. Cabin is comfy and spacious. Heads up display was something I didn't know I needed. Adaptive cruise and lane keep assist work better than in my newer model Jaguar. Tons of option to mess with from driving modes to technology stuff. It will be divisive for some but I really enjoy the turn dial. It's a very natural position to interact with the vehicle. Luxury: Car feels well built, rides well, and has a solid feel to everything. Doors, dash, seats, console, etc. all feel luxurious and solid. Heated back seats, rear climate control, etc. work well and quickly. I feel rich driving this car. The bad: Probably gonna have to do some relatively expensive maintenance at some point. Old rubber coolant hoses are known to crack and leak along with coolant expansion tank. There's a turbo oil gasket that requires a lot of disassembly to get to and replace. Unfortunately these things are when's not if's. You can do these yourself for very cheap though. Brakes will run you about 1800$ at your dealer or 700$ to do yourself. If you can wrench a little bit and take some extra care, this car will last you a long time. I think BMW knocked it out of the park with this one. I really believe this is the pinnacle sleeper/luxury sedan.

I have been driving BMW since my first 320i in "79" I sold my 2004 645ci 6 speed with 123K miles for top dollar, & purchased this beauty. I love the way this car handles with the M & executive packages. The six cylinder with the single turbo has plenty of pep. The first day I put the temporary plates on it I had two different people approach me to inquire about the car. With only 25K miles on the odometer this Florida car rides like a brand new one. No more shifting which is delightful for my two new hips.....

A give this car a good rating after 1 year of ownership. Very capable to carry a 6 people comfortably and still maintain a sporty feel. A sure footed space craft that stands out in a crowded SUV market. If you have 22 inch wheels, get the All season tires continental Extreme Contact rear tires. They won't show up as recommended for your car unless you input the tire size on your search. The Bowers and Wilkins is a must have if you love great audio and the tow hitch is worth it as well. So many USBC connections to go around with a welcome third row sunroof to keep the backseat riders feeling special. You really have to spend time with the tech to appreciate this car. I prefer this year model over the newer ones that don't have the physical buttons, especially the AC controls. The captain seats are great and allows you to mostly skip moving them in slow motion to access the third row. This big baby Rolls moves quicker than you would expect and does it without effort in sport mode. Don't overpay if its not optioned out. Thats where BMW shines.

Just picked-up the X1 on Mar 28th and had a great ride home from the dealership. Handles very well on the road with ample torque when needed. Hate the start/stop mechanics and the fact that you must deactivate each time. Hate the ConnectDrive thing—beware this is a sinister ploy to get more of your dollars and convert once standard car features into subscription services. It is evil. Love the interior. This is my third BMW, so I think this X1 interior is quite good for the money and I am astounded by the standard features list—Wow! And there’s a spare tire with tools in the trunk, WHAT!? I use a touch screen all day, so the tech is no stretch, as long as it works. We shall see, the OS is new. Dual clutch….hmmm, it has its advantages, but smooth take off ain’t one of ‘em. The seats are superb and the cabin very clean. Love the cargo space. This is a good vehicle for a certain group of buyers who want cargo and fun. This is a smart ICE choice, and I hope there will eventually be a U.S. bound iX1.
