Bought my 2000 Cavalier coupe 2.2 with 3 speed automatic brand new off the lot. It had manual windows/locks, am/FM CD, and a rear spoiler which is exactly what I wanted. In the 17 years I owned that car I put 177,000 +/- miles on the original engine/transmission/struts. The only things that ever needed replacing on my car was tires, brakes, a/c compressor, alternator, and probably 4 batteries. A tuneup was done at 100,000 miles - coils & all. Oil changes were done every 3,000 miles with Castrol 5w20, and a valve cover was replaced around 130,000 miles. That was one tough, peppy 2.2 engine. Around 150,000 miles the rear defroster went out and after that it was one thing after another. I finally sold it when it developed a short nobody could find. It is still on the road today - bought by someone with a better mechanic than me and I even visit my old car from time to time.

Based on our conversation he took the initiative to order a new battery in case it was needed. We scheduled a time for him to come to the house and take a closer look. It turned out, they needed a battery. Zach installed the new one on the spot. In less than 30 minutes it was all resolved. It is reliable and fun to drift on ice, and gravel. It is very good for going back and forgot work, I also can easily go into the ditch.

Not enough room for 5 full size adult's. It has 135,00 km. Part's are cheap. So it a bread & butter model on the car rental fleet. Too small to take o a long road trip. Good traction in the winter time on snow & ice. However I washed this top of the line model frequently & it was rusting quite badly at the bottom of the front & the rear door's & the wheel well's especially. Even replacing all 4 coil's did not improve the handle 7 the road stability at all. This car should have 16 inch tire not the BF Good wrench cheap dealership tire's that they come with. But after paying over $23,00 for my 2001 Chrevolet Cavailer I'm quite more liking my 2003 Toyota Camry XLE that has 249,000 km on it after these past mazing 4 yrs of owing this car used as a replacement to my 2001 Chrevolet Cavalier. I bought the Ingigo Blue Dark sedan & it's way way to her to keep clean show the dirt. The black interior get's so very dirty quickly. The cloth seat's are not comfortable to drive at the. The 2005 Chrevolet Cobalt just look's so dreadful as a replacement to this bread & butter GM staple sedan. The rear spoiler look's simply awful. The headlight's stay very well lit up especially in the fog or at night time. If u weigh over 200 pound's buy a Cadillac Deville or a Cadillac DHS instead or a Buick Lesabre or a Buick Park Avenue Ultra luxury sedan of this entry level sedan.

I've got a 2004 2 door cavalier, shes got about 216000 on her current engine, absolutely love them. wish the engine was stronger, but other than that its a solid little car, glad its my first!

I recently purchased a truck from SAG Denver, I have had a very positive and professional experience with the sales and service departments. I normally avoid dealerships at all costs, however I came across a beautiful truck that I was having difficulty finding on the private market. I enquired online and was replied to very expediently. I received a no pressure call from a sales person who scheduled an appointment with me. When I arrived, I was greeted and assisted immediately. I test drove the truck with Tracey, who by the way, I highly recommend working with. After driving and inspecting the truck for a bit, I detected what is a common mechanical problem with that type of truck. I brought it up to Tracey and the sales manager Dan and my concerns were immediately acknowledged and validated. Dan did not try to gloss over my concern or argue that there was an issue, instead, he gracefully offered to have the repairs made along with any other contributing or resulting damage as needed. I left the truck with them to begin the repairs, unfortunately it was a bit more involved than originally thought. There ended up being a significant amount of engine work needed, nothing that could have possibly been detectable without opening up the motor. I think most dealerships would have somehow tried to find a way to charge me or unwind the deal rather than proceed with completing all necessary repairs and making the truck run properly. I have several other vehicles so I wasn't by any means inconvenienced, however I did purchase the truck because I had to haul some things for family. After the repairs ran into an extended period of time I did email to express my concerns, I received a call from Dan offering me another truck from their inventory until the repairs were completed on mine. I can't express enough how impressed and pleased I am with the entire experience with Springs Automotive in Denver, I would definitely recommend them and would buy from them again.

These cars have been basically bullet proof. Continue to run with very little issues. The 2004 has had a fan switch replaced but is otherwise original. The 2002 has had the air conditioner replaced and several other issues but nothing that keeps it from getting from here to there.

Owned this car from factory with 13 miles, now has 138,000 miles & 14 yrs later later still going strong. Have drove all over US & this car handles great on highways. Run pure synthetic oil & the only major cost was replacing all gauges. Keep good tires Michelin or Goodyear & have had no problems in snow or rain. Only problem heat cracked front dashboard strip & it’s a bear to find. Other than that will stick with this Chevy till she dies.

My service advisor was excellent as was the quality of the work. GM's $200 charge for labor to replace a part I can buy for $20 is ridiculous. I would have been ok paying $200 to replace all four tire pressure sensors but not $200 EACH plus the super inflated part cost. I wish I could score the service separate from the pricing. Pricing would get one star.

I love this car so much I’ve had for a year and it was totaled a month after I bought it and it’s still going strong. I put struts and brakes on it and it’s a beast! Best $2300 purchase I’ve ever made.

I can’t say enough great things about the 02’ cavalier. Mine unfortunately became too unsafe for the road due to the MN winters taking their toll on its body. Salty roads. The perfect all around car for many years of reliability and great mpg. The handling is pretty good for a econo box and the seats were great. Can’t forget about the cup holders in the top of the center console either. I miss it everyday as I learned stick in that car and many milestones happened because of it. The first chance I get, I’m buying another one.

I bought this car with over 204,000 miles. I was scared to drive it from Colorado to Texas or from Denver to San Antonio. Because they had a lot of miles on it. But now it has 220,000 miles and still runs. I'm hoping it'll last me at least till 300,000. But out of all the cars I've owned over the years, this has the most miles on it and it is probably the most reliable car. I didn't trust it at 1st but now that I drove over 950 miles straight through without stopping except to put gas. I definitely trust it now.

My grandma bought a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier brand new in 2002, which she had it up until she passed away, and gave it to my dad. With the story aside, it's been pretty reliable these past 20 years, in fact, I find it impressively reliable. Normally a car would be useless at 5 - 10 years old, but this car was certainly built tougher than modern cars. Design wise, it's ok, but the materials used for the interior and exterior were certainly cheap, considered the fact that the dash cracks within a decade or so and the weather stripping begins to peel off after around 15 years. Exterior styling is pretty ok, especially with the ls sport coupe, with the spoiler in the back. As far as the value for the money, it's pretty ok as well, however, I dislike the lack of effort with the paint job, considering that the clear coat fails fairly quickly and the materials used are, again, cheap. Overall, I give this car a 4.5 rating, It's cheaply made, but it's been put through xxxx with the California heat and the intense UV rays penitrating on the paint job. I truly hope that Chevrolet learned their lesson with this one, because I don't want to one day buy a used car from chevy and soon look at the roof and see the clear coat chipping off or the dash having numerous cracks.

Got my first four door in 1998. Awesome vehicle. Got second one because wife wrecked our first Cavilier. Bought a used 2092 with 82,000+ miles. Still starts on first turn of key. Now has 207,000, and smoke a bit, but is in storage. Hope to rebuild soon. Reliable vehicle.
