A little more than 2 years ago I bought a used 2017 Chevy Trax LT AWD, with a 1.4L engine. In addition, this vehicle was in a wreck which got hit on the rear end of the vehicle. However, the vehicle was fixed before purchasing it and I bought it with a fair price, with 49k original miles. Now the Trax has 97k miles and has had his fair amount of issues. Additionally, at 60k miles the turbo was leaking antifreeze and had to replace it with the valve that was attached to it. Also, I had some minor issues on the AC controller which h I had to have those replaced, and sooner or later I'm going to have to replace the blower motor since it's making a weird sound when it's on. This vehicle has treated me good since I've been keeping up with the regular oil changes (I usually buy Mobile 1 oil and filter, advance full synthetic) and I usually change also the air filter every 15k-30k miles. Also I've done 2 tune ups with new spark plugs and coils. To be honest if yiu do the regular maintenance you won't have any issues especially the engine and transmission. Furthermore, in a couple of days I'll be replacing the break pads, and also just FYI the 1.4L engine has a timing chain, so if you do the regular oil changes it will last forever. Soon I'll be replacing the gaskets and water pump since it's about to turn 100k mikes. All in all, I give it a 4.0-4.5 overall rating, space if very bad you can't fit regular size adults in the rear seats!

I downsized from a 3 row/8 seater chevy traverse Lt to a basic chevy trax, nothing fancy. I like the familiarity of all the chevy vehicles, it made it easier to transition. This is a great little sporty car. Its a mix of suv look with car storage. Its not as fast as my other car, but the gas mileage seems great. I've only had it for a month though.

It accelerates better than most think depending on how you drive it. I have used the manual feature it does extremely well. I have had 5 men in it, pulls well. Dont knock it. Fuel milage is good.

Only have had for almost a week so far I really like it. Comfortable and roomy. Compact and easy to maneuver. Seems reliable And nice design

This car met most of my needs, Love the backup camera and alarm, and the blind spot warning lights in the sideview mirrors. This car has many features of the more expensive models. This car could use more cargo room, like better roof racks, and a larger cargo area. Overall it is well worth the money, if you don't need a pick-up.

I purchased this car used from Sunrise Chevrolet, in Glendale Heights Il. After checking it out with a test drive, I found that it had just what I needed for my short drives. I’m enjoying the car so far. It only had a couple of minor problems that I got fixed at no cost to me because it was covered under warranty.

They are so busy it sometimes takes a while to get an appt; but service techs provide good service. Dennis Narsson has ben my tech advisor for my last two visits; has explained the problems and kept me updated as to progress. I have been a service customer for ~8 years.

I'm impressed with this car. Bigger on the inside than it looks and very smooth. If it only had a CD player :-) it would be perfect.

I leased my 2015 Chevy Trax (basic trim) new on March 2025 as my 21st birthday present to myself. Since it’s my first official first car purchase, I was on top of my maintenance. I’ve already taken it to a lot of road trips and decided to own it October 2018. Took it to more road trips ever since. The issues I had on it has been the AC. I did a whole 100k service on it as well, and have had to replace the spark plugs. Otherwise, the engine is still running great on me and now at 110K+ ! I am looking to replace this car at some point in the near future though since I’m growing out of it already. But I’m super happy with this car (I named my Trax as Trixie) as it has been reliable on me most of the time. It was fun to drive in my 20s and I personally love the handling on it as well. I’m driving my 2015 Trax till it completely dies on me. Would be a nice surprise if it gives me another 50-100K+ miles— we shall see!

I’ve had my 2019 trax 52k miles for almost 3 years, absolutely love the car no problems so far(knock on wood) only small minor inconvenience a ground wire got a little dusty and was cleaned. I have done the pcv fix as Chevy did not make it good for these engines in the long run. Not a lot of power for my liking so I modified some components. Not very friendly for tall people im 6’3 and have my seat set almost all the way back.

My 2019 Trax LT hasn't had any problems. (knock wood) The stereo system is great, if the headrest would tilt back it'd be a 5 star on comfort. As is, long trips are comfortable. The turbo hesitates if I haven't kicked it in before it's needed. Blow the cobwebs out so to speak. Overall, I love my lil' blue Trax LT.

Sebastian was amazing and so friendly to talk to, we visited a few other dealerships and came across this one , we met a few nice people while there but me and my husband wanted to see the whole lot ourselves , I guess you can say old fashion since we can look online to look into the vehicle instead. While looking at the pre-owned vehicle we came across Sebastian, he was so nice and welcoming and it being it 1st time buying a vehicle we looked into what we were looking for and he gave us some advice into what to look out for as well as what vehicles are long lasting and showed us our options. Purchased used 2017 stock (no cruise control, no tint, no roof rack, no power seats, basic) minus those it was simple and great overall. Only problem I had was a $40 valve piece easily replaceable via autozone. The piece is part of the emissions system which is under warranty until 60,000 miles. The valve opens up and releases emissions automatically. My valve would open too frequently creating a clicking sound very noticeable when ordering in a drive-thru as the sound would echo off the wall. Some research told described the issue spot on. The check engine light came on until I turned my car on again. When you turn the key the engine light comes on. Once the car actually starts, the light shuts off. It runs fine but the clicking sound grabs your attention. I took it to a mechanic because it's a $40 piece that can easily detach while car is off. The mechanic said the car is fine and plugging on the new valve would do nothing because the piece is naturally loud. I test drove another 2017 Trax and it ran much more quite. CANNISTER PURGE VALVE.....easy replacement for $40 bucks could probably do it yourself with tutorial. I lost the car due to accident soon after so I can't confirm the replacement solves this issue. It's possible you could waste $40 replacing it and it still makes the sound. Hope this helps !!

I have a 2016 chevy trax LT AWD it's a great little suv. Great pickup, great gas mileage especially on the highway, smooth enough room for 2 young kids. I love the passenger front seat that folds down.
