Wife's car ,working at home not many miles low 20k as of2024 June. Still I wonder about trans fluid because of time. Problem that bugs me is the radio. Static in AM off and on ,and of course the business station 1220am about the market. UGH!! Third lease of explorer, so low in miles ,made it a purchase. 🤞👍

I love this vehicle. My 2022 Ford Explorer XLT far exceeds my expectations. Handling is great. Performance is far better than expected. Gas mileage is 26mpg combined average for the 16,500 miles I have on the vehicle so far. The interior fit and finish could be better and the original tires...not holding up very well. The vehicle is comfortable and always a pleasure to drive. I always get compliments on the exterior style. In my opinion, it's one of the better looking SUV's on the road. The rear biased drive train give it superior handling, better than anything I test drove. Chevy, Subaru, or the Kia.

We stopped by the dealership today to look at the 2024 Explorer. Gilman was the first person that approached us and showed us several new vehicles. He was very professional and knowledgeable with us. We were just looking but ended up purchasing a new vehicle from Gilman. Everyone in dealership was very nice and helpful. 2017 Ford Explorer. I love my car. It runs great but I have had battery problem and trim has blown off my car on freeway. Have not had a lot of problems with it.

Sam was very helpful. He listened to me and did not try to sway me to purchase another vehicle like some dealerships do. We got straight to the point and I walked away with the car I wanted.

I love my ST all except for seating. I’m just not a fan of European style seating soo we had an upholstery shop up grade them. Sooo much fun to drive! Great gas mileage considering I’m a lead foot. And when needed you can put a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back.

I only went in to do some test drives to see what I liked and what felt good to drive. Willie was so amazing and not only listened to what I liked, but was there through my nerves of being able to do all the paperwork. I can't recommend him and this dealership enough!

I often drive to the Michigan upper pennisula in the winter. This SUV has never disappointed me. One time I was driving up to Sault Ste Marie early in the morning. The road was slippery with blowing snow. The outside air temp was MINUS 41. i was alone with hardly ever seeing another vehicle. I kept thinking "trust this vehicle" because my life literally depended on it. I had no problems. And everything was on high - the defroster, rear defrost, heated steering wheel, heated seat, radio and keeping my phone charger plugged in. And in case you wonder why I would venture out in these conditions - I was called for jury duty and made it on time !! It has also gotten me out of deep snow.

Looked at many different vehicles, very happy with 2022 Ford Explorer. The Explorer vehicle is very roomy with all the comforts of a luxury vehicle.

2016 Platinum. Nice SUV, comfortable, very powerful, decent fuel economy, fair build quality, but there are some things to be aware of; the AWD models have a PTU (power transfer unit) which sends power to the rear wheels. It is positioned very close to the exhaust, and the heat generated by the turbochargers literally cooks the gear oil in the PTU, causing it to fail. The unit only holds about a quart of oil, and is NOT serviced or checked, even when you have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. We had trouble with the front camera, and the recirculation actuator on the climate control. If you are considering a used Explorer, I highly recommend buying the best warranty you can! The only complaint I have is the road noise. On new pavement, it's quiet, but on all other roads it's VERY loud inside!

Great experience with Auto Empire. Transaction was smooth as silk. Their fees were half another used car dealer. Hunter was very helpful and ever talked me through the whole process. My daughter needed a decent used car for college and Hunter talked to me about everything they had in my price range. Great deal on a solid used car! Will be back in a couple years when my son goes off to college.

Best Ford, other than a pickup, I've ever owned. Minor issues and recalls. All fixed or checked expertly here in Woodbridge VA. Only 80,000 miles. All highway. Tows a trailer perfectly straight. 4X4 with tow package. Getting ready to sell. Nobody else in the house to use it ! Lol

Have only had vehicle for 3 weeks but really like it. I’ve had F150’s for the past 12 years and thought I’d miss my truck, but I’m really enjoying this explorer. It’s more comfortable and fun to drive and the gas mileage is better.

Bought this car in 2019 as my daily driver. It has enough space to transport my large and was very reliable until about 160,000 miles. Gasket seal and O2 sensors failed causing me $800 in repairs. Not super expensive, but like the previous review says check to see if there are any open recalls. Currently at 230,000 miles and still driving. If you follow the suggested maintenance schedule you'll be fine. If not, you'll be in for some trouble.

Many years ago there was a movie called It's a Wonderful Life with the infamous character "George Bailey", for those of us who know of the movie I must say that if you are afforded the opportunity to purchase anew or used vehicle and you have any worries or concerns go to Hyman because they represent the "Its a wonderful Life" and GQ is definitely the George Bailey. We purchased a 2022 Explorer Platinum one month ago and so far we've had a great experience. We needed the large volume of cargo space that's available with the third row down, above-average towing capability, and most importantly comfortable seating for long trips. This SUV has given us all of that and much more. Now that we're past the break-in period, it is such a pleasure to drive. It has a phenomenal engine, helpful tech that we haven't had any trouble using (with one exception -- see below), and a fantastic selection of drive modes. The one fly in the ointment isn't Ford's fault. We tried to activate the three-month free trial of the wifi hotspot with AT&T, but three weeks after opening an incident with them (with Ford Customer Support's help), they haven't been able to resolve the issue. I hope Ford partners with a different provider soon, so no one else has to deal with this. But that's a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. After a major purchase like this I often second-guess myself and wonder if I shouldn't have gone with one of the runners up. But not in this case. I'm confident we found the best SUV for our needs. Kudos to Ford!

Quiet, comfortable and powerful car. I have the twin turbo that puts out 400 hp. General gas mileage is 19-20 city and 24-25 highway. The only thing that I would change on this vehicle is that I would like to be able to turn off some of the automatic operations on a semi-permanent basis.

The ford explorer is an outstanding suv. The new design in 2020 is stylish and the rear wheel drive/4 wheel drive option is state of the art. The ecoboost engines are economical and extremely powerful. Ford dealers are everywhere! Ford parts are common and easy to obtain! I looked at the competitors. Front wheel drive is not suitable for trucks in my opinion. The handling of a rear wheel drive vehicle is outstanding. I actually have a 2022 platinum with the 3.0 v6 and this 2021 base with the 2.3 4 cylinder. Happy with each!!!

My husband and I saw the car we had spent weeks looking for in their online inventory, but we were over 10 hours away by car. We were concerned that someone else would grab it before we got there, as had already happened to us several times. They were courteous enough to hold it for us until we got there the next morning, and they gave us a fair deal for both our trade-in and our purchase without a bunch of haggling or pressure. After having communicated with lots of dealerships in the prior weeks, the staff at Safford Brown distinguished themselves from our first conversation. Hector and Eric were both courteous and professional without being stiff. We got the car we wanted with minimal fuss, and that's a big deal, considering how exhausting our search had been.

This is the first explorer that I have owned in nearly 30 years. I am coming from a ram 1500. I am surprised how comfortable this explorer is I’m really enjoying the gas mileage between 21 to 23 in town. I have not taken a trip on the highway yet.
