2018 Ford Taurus review
I have owned many Taurus vehicles, starting back in 1994. They have been great rides, getting better every year. The 2016 was fantastic, best I had, but I leased it and thought the buyout was too much. I now own a 2018, it is probably the second best, I say that because they have taken away some of the minor safety features, (like the ability to choose between 3 or 5 blinks when changing lanes. I think 5 is safer.) another problem is that they haven’t improved the adaptive cruise control, if something were to happen that caused me to pass out, the cruise would slow me to 15 mph, and then goes off. Not very safe, in my opinion. The ride is great, gas mileage is not too bad, and I get compliments on the looks all the time. I don’t understand why they discontinued it.

2008 Ford Taurus review
I was the 2nd owner of this car. I bought it with 86,000 miles on her. She now has 255,000 miles on her. I have had no significant repairs from 200,000 to the present. It is, by far, the best, most reliable car I have ever owned. When we considered purchasing it, the sales person helped me research it. The professional review said the trunk was so big, you could fit 5 bodies in it. No lie, it has a huge trunk! She loves to go fast. She prefers the highway. I can honestly say this car is at her best while going 70 mph. I had 3 teenage sons, and we traveled comfortably to Colorado from Michigan. It handled the mountains with ease. It has its quirks, but with good guidance with a mechanic, you can manage them. The information out there says to expect 300,000 miles out of her. I believe this is accurate. She shows no sign of slowing down. It's great.

1998 Ford Taurus review
This was my first car, which was purchased for $1200 and had I believe 129k miles. Runs smooth, nothing to special about this car got from A to B. Was okay on gas, for a smaller car compared to the competition it was much faster and the v-6 was nice on it. After about 8/9 months the radiator was replaced, this was due to normal wear and this was the deciding factor for me to sell it and get a new car. At 16, having to pay $400 to replace that was the last straw for me as I thought this would lead to bigger problems. Would recommend for first car or for someone who only drives 6-8 k miles a year.

2008 Ford Taurus review
I recently bought a used fwd, SEL model with 154,000 miles and, ironically, as the review directly below mine stated, the engine had a bad ignition coil which resulted in a malfunctioning pcm (computer). I had the faulty ignition coil replaced by a local mechanic and was able to remove the pcm myself and send it to Circuit Board Medics in Greenville, South Carolina. They repaired it for $277. I reinstalled the PCM and the cars runs beautifully. (side note: I was told to replace ALL the ignition coils and plugs before reinstalling the PCM and starting the engine but, not having enough money to do that, I took a chance that the 1 ignition coil I had replaced and the repaired PCM would be ok... so far it has been) Given the miles and the fact the car's 15 years old, I couldn't be more pleased with how well the car still performs. The ride is very smooth and the engine, no longer misfiring, responds perfectly when I step on the gas. From what I've been told, Ford's 3.5 Duratec is one of their more reliable engines when taken care of properly, which I'm thankful the previous owner seems to have done. I got mine for around $2,000. A new battery, new ignition coil, and a repaired PCM cost me $552... so, $2,500 in total for an aging Ford that doesn't feel old at all. Would have loved to have bought this car brand new.

2011 Ford Taurus review
There has been a 2011 Taurus SHO in my family since 2013 it was purchased with 10,000 miles and now has 140,000 these cars are great they have good power they're decent to drive and they're mainly designed for Highway driving. Plenty of power considering it's a 90° V6 it sounds not terrible and it can haul xxx the reason cops use them the infotainment in the early cars pretty much anything sync 2 is outdated and it feels that way however it's not unusable. The rest of the Interior is decent you still have some cheap feeling Ford Plastics but the seats and most things you touch are decent to sit in and deal with especially if you're a bigger person. There is a lot of space we have fit full vacations including me and my two siblings on many trips to Florida and Texas however it is a not all Sunshine rainbows. As for maintenance these cars tend to eat brakes quicker and we have had to replace all the piping to the turbo as it got filled with oil this car also received a catch can on top of oil changes every 5,000 miles, coolant flush every 15 to 20k and Trans Fluid every 30,000. You cannot talk about this car without the elephant in the room that being the water pump if you don't want to change the water pump don't buy this car go buy a Honda Accord my family bit the bullet and paid to get it done at 110,000 it's done now we don't need to worry the car has been great if you're not afraid of doing maintenance I would recommend this car they're cheap
