I've been driving my 2020 Kona Turbo for 3 years now and my opinion on this car is ever-changing. Preface: I'm 18 years old and my parents got this Kona for me to earn and now daily drive. I thought the design team was off their rocker when I saw the tail light design, but my expectations were far too high. The whole look of the car grew on me and now I really think its one of the best looking subcompacts you can buy. I ended up with the lime green color w/ the green interior stitching, which also grew on me heavily. The Kona has such an aggressive stance that only gets better when i threw on 25mm wheel spacers (highly recommend if you're going for an aggressive look). I was taken aback at the performance of the green little bugger, it really surprised me how much giddy-up it has stock. Naturally, I was yearning for more performance so I picked up a chip-tune which made it the absolutely perfect vehicle to me. I haven't had any issues with the car other than those that are self-inflicted (meaning no fault of Hyundai), so with nearly 30k on the odometer id say this thing is pretty reliable so far, just don't forget to do your oil changes or the turbo wont be happy. Overall this is a GREAT car for anyone learning to drive. Not too powerful, AWD is a no-brainer, plenty of trunk space (even more with the seats down), and a comfy ride for the price point! Not to mention the Sport Mode adds some extra responsiveness to your driving experience. Overall great value.

Great experience today. My service manager, Johnny Chang came right out when I pulled up, noticed that I needed a state inspection before I got the words out, went over the various services, but no pressure to get me to do maintenance I did't need. He was very nice!

Bought my Kona 6.24.22 and I already have 24000+ miles on it. Mine is Blue Wave/Black in color. It's been great. You definitely get what you pay for. It's small. But I'm small. It's sporty and stylish. I've been told that my vehicle matches my personality. I'm adventurous so we match great. I wish the mpg was better (my avg mpg is 26.2). No issues yet.

I bought the 2023 SEL Kona for my wife. However, she has been traveling for work and I've driven it 4000 miles. I really enjoy the fun little car. Mileage overall 32-40 MPG. Handles/ looks great. Great experience

This is an excellent mid-size car if you're looking for something that will get you around the city. It has get up and go without even being a turbo and the gas mileage that my wife and I have achieved in this car on the highway is close to 36 miles to the gallon 😊😊😊😊😊

My lease was up on my 2019 Hyundai Tucson. We thought it would be a good idea to go smaller and get the Kona. Big mistake. I say that only for personal reasons which is we are sorry we didnt get another Tucson due to the size that we miss terribly. Shopping days are horrible due to the small area in the back. We live in an area not too close to shopping so we have to do it all at one time for the most part. So even with the seats down its not the best. That's our own fault. But I love the car otherwise. Such a cool looking car. I love the front of it and of couse the rear end. Driving it is actually fun. Gas mileage is very good. And my car insurance went down from $96.00 a month to $69.00 a month as we pay montly. I love the car and I feel being as we chose white, it makes it even more attractive. I definitely advise people to check it out. You'll love it as long as storage in the back isnt too important to you

I have a Kona Ultimate 1.6Turbo and I absolutely love it! She's small but spacious and roomy. She's got incredible acceleration speed. Even tho it's a small crossover, it's bigger than you think. The trunk/cargo area is decent, but more like a car trunk than an suv trunk. The back seats are comfortable for my kids. The heated front seats are incredibly comfortable too!

I am renting this vehicle. This thing handles well. Turning radius is better than my mother's Toyota RAV4 in my opinion. Interior is really good. Control panel, driver controls, information display and selectors, are all simple and easy to get it where you would want set up. Blue tooth, radio, and touchscreen are the best!

This car has sensors on the vehicle which keeps your vehicle in the lines while driving and has bluetooth capabilities and rear back up camera. It isn't the roomest vehicle and probably not for anyone over 5'9 but it's great for me and my family.

I have it for 15 months and I'm very satisfied with it. Comfortable, consumption is good, nice power and the screen works really well. I wish they had an upper trim for a better interior, but lead times were auper long in 2021

The Finance Officer Michael Mabry was also very professional, I was expecting a high pressure sales pitch, however no pressure, discussed what I was interested in and he answered all my questions. This will be my go to place for my next purchase.

Have had trouble with car not starting. Seems the starter has a "flat spot" on it, and on occasion will not start. Battery is good, and I must turn the key up to ten times before it will "catch". Will happen up to 5 times, and then will move on and start just fine. Service unable to duplicate problem, so can't get it fixed under warranty.

Change oil servicing and check engine better or not.

I got my 2020 Kona SEL Plus when they were getting in the 2021 Kona's in. They gave me a a great deal. They went back and forth with my husband and asked him to write down a price and they accepted. I love this car and takes me where I need to go and had a lot of pick up and go. The SEL Plus is loaded, but I think they now make a different trim. If you buy one you will love it. No problems so far, but I only have 8,000 miles on it. Will be 2 years old November 30, 2022. I'm retired so don't have to travel back in forth to work everyday. The only issue so far is the trunk is really small, but it still works for me.

Ofcourse the process was a bit bumpy in some areas and it took some time to get the deal done but a diamond was more of a rock before being cleaned. Some of the review did not allow for the possibility that thing do happen and the cars can get sold. No dealership holds cars for prospects. I love the low cost to maintain this car. My work allows me little downtime. The ride is decent as well as comfort. It has most of the current bells and whistles The pickup could be a little better and sometimes it does not recover from a downshift as quickly as it should.
