I have a 2017 Sonata SE that has been a very good, reliable vehicle. I spend alot of time on the road for my job and it had never given me any issues; very comfortable, gas mileage around 30+. As many others have said, the engine conked out at around 124,000 mi. The dealer replaced it with a new factory engine 2 mos ago. A week after I got it back, the accelerator something or other broke so I took it back and had to pay $500 to repair it. (they swore it was unrelated- I dont think so) Other than that, it has been a great car.

I like to thank Tim Jr and the service department for helping me with tires for my truck. As always was greeted with great customer service and the service tech did a great job . Thanks again Tim and team great experience every time.

I'm very happy with this vehicle. The car is still relatively new but so far I haven't had to take it back to the dealer yet. This is my second Sonata but this car is much better than my 2017. I don't think that you can beat the car at this price point. I'm happy with it.

Had a tough start with my purchases of the 2 cars I planned to purchase as salesperson Luis Moreta was very non responsive as time went on and numbers changed as far as my trade in values on my 2 cars. He started at one number and the next day that number went down when I asked for number to possibly go up. First time I?ve ever had that happen. So I was done dealing with him and was planning on going to another dealership. Then I figured I?d give them one more shot and Amy Rodrigue and Nancy Vega made my experience as I would have expected. They were super responsive and listened to me explain my issues with original salesperson. They made the purchases of 2 cars extremely easy and from start to finish everything was put together in just over 24hours. Overall, I really like this car. Nice look inside and out. Easy to clean Internal cabin noise is quiet while driving. Like car notifications inside the car.

I have the Limited. This is my 6th Hyundai/Genesis car and they just keep getting better. The technology is fantastic and equals many features in luxury cars at twice the price. In June I took a 3450 mile trip, hit 14 states and a variety of traffic conditions and it just kept chugging along with no effort. Features like HDA help on the long days of 700 miles. Used less gas than my previous car too, 95 gallons on that trip.

I have had nothing but a GREAT experience, from buying the car to owning it! I went to Auto Land of Accident Maryland to look at vehicles. I had no idea whatsoever of what I wanted but I knew it was time for a new vehicle. Kerri and Chad helped me find my beautiful red Hyundai Sonata, and I fell in love immediately. Chad had me in and out fast and was such a huge help with everything! I have had it for 3 months now and nothing to complain about! It drives so smooth, the steering handles great! The gas mileage is unreal. My son and I went to Florida for a week, and as a girl who loves road trips we drove it to Florida from Maryland. Then we drove all of the way back. A 16 hour road trip, 985 miles one way and I was getting 43.7 mpg. I couldn’t believe it! That whole trip took a little over two full tanks! This car has been perfect for hauling things around in since it has so much room in the trunk and back seat. The seats are comfy so my son didn’t mind the long trip in fact he slept through a couple of states. This is my dream car! Thank you so much Autoland!

Purchased a 2024 Hyundai Sonata N Line on April 1, w2024. It’s my very FIRST Hyundai purchase ever! So far, so good! I’m coming from a 2017 Buick Regal 2.0 turbo with a performance calibration from Trifecta Performance! It was fast, comfortable and handled pretty good. Enter my new N Line from Hyundai. I’ve owned late model Shelby GT500’s, Boss 302 Mustangs, and 5.0 Mustangs, and this car will move out as well! Certainly not Shelby fast. But, it’s a good performance sedan that’s extremely underrated, given its excellent performance, handling and tight steering, it’s one of the very best balanced performance sedans I’ve ever driven! I’m nearly 69 years old, and I can say unequivocally, it’s a very good performance sedan at a great price point with excellent safety, reliability, design and engineering for a very reasonable price point! I’ve also owned BMW products as well. I’ve owned a late model BMW 330i sedan, and a 2019 BMW X3 M40I! It’s not as fast as my previous M40i, but it’s pretty close compared to BMW’s legendary B58 inline 6 cylinder! Hats off to Hyundai and Mr. Albert Bierman for designing, engineering and producing such a dynamic sports sedan in 2024 when other manufacturers are ticking their tails between their legs and giving up on petro engines in favor of hybrids and electric cars! So far, im very impressed with Hyundai’s latest iteration of the Sonata N Line performance sedan! Go Steelers!!! It’s Lit!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

it is a very nice car! it is all wheel drive. it only comes on one of the models. very roomy with all the modern features. The only negative is the Sun Roof is not available in the All Wheel Drive Model.

I've got a 2023 Sonata N Line, with 1800 miles on it now. It's a great car, for the money. Performance, style, comfort. It needs a memory seat for sure. The front seats mold to you but is very hard to get in and out of unless you move the seat back. Also, the inside needs much more storage space, center console is small, glove box is small, and side pockets are almost useless.

Amazing experience. I'd recommend anyone looking for a car to try CarMax first... There's zero pressure, tons of beautiful vehicles, and just an all around great place. Will definitely be buying from here in the future. They're willing to work with you if you don't have the best credit, and most importantly, they're just honest and transparent. the 2012 Hyundai Sonata is a smooth comfortable car with a potential flaw that Hyundai has, in my opinion, addressed adequately. First the Pros: It is stylish in both the interior as well as exterior design. It is comfortable, even for me at 6'3" and is not tiring for extended periods on the highway. The fuel economy is good averaging for me about 32 MPG with mostly highway driving. The engine has reasonable power when needed and is generally smooth. The cons are that the 4-cylinder Theta-II engine that the Sonata Uses, (as well as the Santa Fe and Kia Optima and Sorento) has a known flaw that causes the #4 cylinder connecting rod bearing to wear out prematurely causing engine failure. Hyundai has recently extended the Engine Warranty to a lifetime warranty on these engines and that includes if you bought the car used. I think this is a reasonable response. My Sonata suffered this exact failure 5 months ago at 164,000 miles and the engine was replaced with no pushback. The car carried an original 100K mile warranty which is still considered industry leading so, legally, any car over 100K miles Hyundai and Kia could have stuck to their original warranty agreement and taken no action. But that is not what they are doing. One of the reasons I gave Korean cars a try several years ago was the lack of response I got on a Japanese brand known for their high quality that also had a known failure point but took no action after the warranty expired. Because of Hyundai's ultimate response I still highly recommend the car. if you have a higher mileage Sonata, my advice would be sure you have some sort of roadside assistance, so in case you experience this same failure, you will not be left stranded. The good news is that in the rare instance you experience this issue, you should receive a new engine.

I bought new in 2015. Now over 110K miles. No issues at all except regular maintenance. It's been one of the best cars I've owned - value, comfort, MPG, etc. It has dated well and doesn't look like a 11 year old car. The 2.4 does burn about a quart of oil every 2K miles. I regularly check the oil level and do all maintenance early. I don't know how it would hold up if I drove it hard or didn't do regular maintenance.....

This is on a 2004 Sonota that has 191,000 miles. I bought it new and it has never been back to the dealership for a warranty issue. It has 2.7 v-6 and doesn’t use any oil between oil changes. This by far has been the best car I have ever owned. Good gas mileage, I’m 6’3” and has plenty of leg room. Yes I would buy another.

I found High Line to be very helpful and patient with my car buying. They worked with me and answered all my questions. They got me a great rate with my credit union. Very Satisfied, would totally recommend.

I drove 3500 dually diesels for 25-30 years and then went to a Honda ridgeline 2018 new, love it until I drove my wife’s new car and decided I needed a car. My best friend had a Hyundai and loved it so I did hours of reviews Hyundai vs many others. All factors considered I decided to test drive a few. All things considered the Hyundai won and a low mileage 2021 caught my eye and I got it. After apps 1000 miles I am so glad I got it. Pros and cons Honda (H) push button start Hyundai (hy) key start, H remote start hy no remote start, H good ride hy better ride, H noisy hy less noisy,H electric keypad with gloves on more user friendly for me, hy parking easier, hy cornering better, H acceleration a bit stronger but hy smoother, both get the job done, I am 74 yo so I understand knobology better than the slow digital control for heat radio etc.,hy wins there- breaks equal, dashboard info hy wins, seems to love Google maps tolerates Waze, I prefer Waze. Pros and cons about not locking keys in car - can’t dash out start it w/o leaving key in ignition,physically gettin and out of the vehicle is harder, in a nutshell the things that matter more to me the hy wins so far.The salesman, Lamar was exceptional, a young family man earning a living by hustling but not rushing! Remember Lamar at Southern Auto Group in Newport News VA. Oh and the warranty was winner!
