My initial review is posted at the bottom. I have changed my rating from do not buy, to good. It appears that KUNES Sycamore has recently hired a very competent Jerome Witt who, albeit after 6 months resolved my issue within a couple of days. If you have an issue with KUNES, I highly recommend contacting Jerome. Below my original Issue: If I can stop just one person from buying a vehicle from November 5, 2022 By pljo on DealerRater If I can stop just one person from buying a vehicle from this non-responsive dealership, I consider my efforts a success. I purchased a 2009 Mercedes SL550 (48,00miles) from this stealership and added a "Bumper to Bumper aftermarket warranty" which I paid for separately from the car through Kunes. After 3 weeks (1,500mls) the car developed an issue with a suspension damper. Kunes quoted a $1,500+ repair charge and of course it was not covered by the "Bumper to Bumper warranty". Multiple emails to Eddie Boliaux (GM) has proven to be futile. Please think twice before dealing with these people, especially if they try to sell you a useless aftermarket warranty. My wife and I recently purchased a new car for her at Kunes of Belvidere. I am in sales and I have purchased many cars over the years. I’m not easily impressed but, I have to say, “Mo” Owaynat the general sales manager and numbers guy went over and above to get a deal done for me and my wife. On top of being a really nice guy, he worked hard to get a deal done that fit our needs and I felt the whole time like he was working as much for me as he was working for the dealership. I have a 2024 Tuscan XRT .I bought slightly used and now has 17k miles . It has been a fantastic car. Initially wanted the SEL convenience hybrid for the gas mileage but couldn’t justify spending an extra $4-6k to save a few hundred dollars on gas a year. My non- hybrid has gotten amazing gas mileage. Averaging 28-29 mpg mostly stop and go, some highway. Way better than the estimates of 23-28mpg. The EPA estimates are way off ! The Tuscan drives so smooth and so quiet. The 8 speed transmission is amazing! It shifts quickly and so smoothly . The cabin is extremely quiet. I think there is more insulation/ sound proofing than the hybrid versions that try to cut down on weight. You don’t hear any road noise in theTuscan !The suspension is smooth and adsorbs every bump . The most surprising positive is the handling. There is absolutely no body roll and handles like it is on rails! I have owned a lot of vehicles and this handles better than anything in this price range. Handles better than any Subaru, better than the BMWs I have had. Feels like I am driving an Audi A4 which is pretty impressive. The seats are extremely comfortable, the stock radio sounds great, lots of legroom and the passenger and cargo room is amazing. Back seats hold full size adults and the seats recline! The cons. Not very many. The 0-60 could be better. However, it shifts so quick and smoothly you don’t notice any issues with speed/ power. A few reviews say 0-60 in like 9 +seconds . I don’t think this is accurate. My guess is high 7s -low 8 seconds but haven’t tested it. It doesn’t have sports car speed but it sure handles like one. For long drives and a daily driver, I would take the comfort / quietness and handling of Tuscan over a muscle car.

Gave us even a better deal than expected. Highly recommend them. No high pressure and family friendly. Kids really liked the life size Marvel statues.

I just got a 2022 Kona Limited after having a 2015 Golf for years. I like all safety features and comfort items. The steering wheel is stiffer than I am used to and think that is due to lane assist. I haven't figured out why the nav system doesn't talk, but it must be a setting issue. I used a Garmin unit for nav in past, but Kona's screen is much better. Some people say the space is small, but just fine for me. Overall, i like the Kona

After trying out dozens of different makes & models (looking for a used, comfortable 1 or 2 yr old car) we found our Tucson on a show-room floor with everything we wanted (except CD player) & paid less than what we were looking at with an older model of anything else! (would have given the car a 5 Star rating for interior, but center counsel is awkward to get into while driving & not quite enough small storage spaces.. other than that.. it's our 1yr anniversary with the car & we're Still learning all the buttons! We bought the car in Janesville, Wisc. The dealerships here in Rockford were pushy & wouldn't answer any questions unless we committed to buying with them. (Stay away!!)

I previously had a 2022 Tucson Limited which was flawless, ran like a top, and trouble free.. I have now upgraded to a 2024 Tucson Limited Plug in Hybrid which runs and looks great. This is my 3rd Hyundai. All excellent.

We had worked with Justin Reid in the past when purchasing a vehicle and were so pleased that we called him again for another one. Despite all the covid restrictions, our experience was great and we were extremely pleased with the way he handled our transaction. Business manager Jim Schaffer also made all the paperwork that is necessary go quickly and smoothly. We will definitely recommend this dealership to our friends.

I have had the car for almost three months. I used it when my son’s family and others visited so I often used every seat. I have a Limited Trim with a tow hitch. I got the car for visiting family and also to be able to tow a small to medium sized camper. I have owned many Mercedes, BMW’s, Mini’s and other brands and this is the most luxurious. It is as good or better than the German cars on equipment and comfort, just not as fast. Ventilated seats, three rows of power and heated seats and all the tech you can want, which I love. My favorite is the amazing lane keep assist which practically drives the car by itself and the 360 camera for parking and not hitting things. Try to price a Mercedes or BMW 3-row with the same features and you will be at least $85-90k if not more. You could buy his and hers Palisades for the same money, the Calligraphy even has the massage seats. The car is quiet, smooth and absolutely gorgeous interior. I can afford most any car I want and I personally love the value proposition of this car and the low maintenance costs. The car plays a musical tune every time you close the door like a welcome. All my camping gear fits into the back with room to spare (and third row down). The only quirk is the rain sensing wipers do not seem too sensitive. I don’t mind no wireless Car Play as a plugged in phone stays charged. Once I tow with it I will write another review but if you want this feature know it comes with a hitch, ball, prewired with the wire kit for trailer brakes and a tow mode! That’s pretty cool. Full sized spare, too. If you want luxury, space, lots of seats and good towing capacity run and get one. You don’t need to shop the competition unless it’s the Telluride. I got a great year end deal on mine, too. Hyundai is improving its vehicles every single year. I have had three now (Kona, Tucson and Palisade) and they have all been great. Oh, I have gotten up to 26mpg on the highway but most the time my mileage is exactly like the ratings. As low as teens in the city doing errands. Not bad for a two ton car.

We had a wonderful experience in purchasing our new 2017 Santa Fe Sport. From the test drive to the closing process and financing we were very pleased with the knowledge and effort of everyone. Our sales associate Jim Scheidt was awesome at explaining the SUVs many advantages and safety features. No pressure and a lot of patience. The deal was excellent as well with the effort given in finding the car outside of the dealership. We were sold, needless to say. Kudos to everyone at Hyundai of Rockford, IL

The only thing is there is a space between the seat back and the seat, if you put something small on the passenger seat it can slice and end up on the floor of the back seat.

I recently purchased a used car from Jim Scheidt and he was great to work with and although it was timely, he was super and i would highly recommend him and Anderson Hyundai.

I purchased this car in the spring of 2022 for my teenager driver. This is a fantastic car for a young driver. It won't win any street races (nor do I want it to for a teen), gets fantastic mileage, is nimble (particularly nice for them parking at school) and is packed with features that you find on more expensive cars (such as wireless Apple Car Play0---which my wife's 2022 Audi Q3 doesn't even have). Add the long term warrant coverage and this is a very good buy. At just over $21k, I am very pleased with this car almost a year after buying it.

This is my 2nd Tucson. First had an SEL now a Limited. I highly recommend the limited. Fantastic suv, great car, great value, couldn't be happier.

Needed to trade in my old car with endless amounts of repairs and was able to leave with a really amazing car withing my price range and that met my needs. Will recommend to anyone looking for new or used vehicles that affordable and well taken care of

My household has owned many new cars over the years and previously owned a 2017 Santa Fe. The 2025 Calligraphy Hybrid has been amazing so far. Comparing it to the Toyota, Honda, Kia and Volkswagen in its class, we thought the interior was hands down the best in class. The amount of features included even outclass many in the next step up. Very quiet on engine noise and a nice smooth ride. We opted for the Atlantis blue exterior with the light gray interior and it looks great. We also like that the styling sets it apart from all others on the road. So far averaging 34 mpg and we are good with that. Super comfortable seats. The only nitpick would be that the driver attention warning, while using highway drive assist, is pretty aggressive and sometimes warns us to watch the road even when we are. Highly recommended.

My wife and I experienced a serious overheating problem in our Santa Fe while driving from our home in Kansas City to Chicago. We found Kunes Hyundai online and were blown away by the superior service they offered. Kyle served as our service advisor, and he went above and beyond to take care of us. He patiently explained the problem, told us they had to order a part, and promised the vehicle would be done by Tuesday. When I left the facility, Kyle said he was on the phone trying to work a little magic to get the part sooner. I don't know who he called or what he said, but he worked the magic. The part came on Monday, and they had the Santa Fe fixed and back to us a day ahead of schedule! That was tremendous. We were already sold on the Hyundai, but this experience reminded us again of why we are on our third vehicle. The level of customer care is off the charts at Hyundai. And Kyle is the best service advisor we've ever had. The repairs fixed the problem and got us safely back home to Kansas City. I would gladly recommend Kunes Hyundai without hesitation. We are in our 70's and wanted a car that had blind spot protection with great window visability, a good sized GPS map, keyless entry, and good fuel economy. Also, it has good space in trunk with fold down rear seats. At 51,000 miles we have had no issues.

Been driving my new Santa Fe XRT for 40 days now. The vehicle is great and has been useful for me. The financing process with Hyundai Motor Finance has been positive too. No complaints. Love my new family SUV. My dog loves it too.

I've had this vehicle limited fwd edition over a year now and it's still awesome as the first day I bought it. Smoother ride and quieter ride than the Honda CRV or the Toyota RAV4. I love that it has GDI and multiport injection which the competition does not. I also love that it has a regular transmission and not a CVT. This vehicle comes with all the luxuries my old Cadillacs had plus a lot more features. This car has plenty of pick up and go. You just have to learn to push down on the accelerator not punch it. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the small SUV class. Cause believe me I test drove them all, and this was by far the quietest smoothest ride and most comfortable car that I test drove.

This is an update to previous review. I bought the cerma plate protection package but was unhappy with the interior. I took it back and it turned out that nobody even worked on the interior. They did it while I waited. If I hadn't taken it back I would have paid for something I didn't get. The service dept. was a little upset with my mood and attitude, but when they found out no-one had even worked on my interior they were very apologetic and nice about it and thanked me for bringing it to they're attention. I don't like dealers and this is a perfect example of why.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SUV. MY FAVORITE FEATURES ARE THE INTERIOR, THE LIGHTS, THE COMFORT, THE FACT THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THE DRIVE MODES, AND THE COLOR.

The Hyundai Tucson Limited is far beyond other vehicles in the same class. This car has features of luxury cars in an affordable vehicle, and it looks sharp too. If it had a turbo charged engine it would e out of this world. As it is, the car does lack power, but unless you drive it like a sports car this isn’t a problem. Front heated and ventilated seats, Rear heated seats, park assist, blind spot cameras. If you need it this car has it.
