Fantastic SUV. Swiss Army Knife of SUVs. Snow, towing, hauling, groceries, and going to a nice dinner, this SUV does it all. Mine is 2017 Luxury with Driver Assist package fully loaded with tow package and captain's chairs. It is my 8th Lexus (my wife has her 3rd RX 350, my daughter has IS 250, and I have had an LS 460L ($104K car!) and two GX 350s, all loaded. All perfect and zero issues. I live in Ohio and I run Blizzak snow tires in winter. The traction is amazing. The sound system is better than in my LS and it is quieter than the LS. I hated my LS due to tiny trunk and is the only Lexus that did not suit my needs and taste, FWIW. I am 59 and retired aerospace engineer, and will drive my GX until it no longer runs, I no longer run, or there is no more gas to buy. I have been a Toyota/Lexus fanboy for 20+ years. The GX does everything that I want it to do and it does it very well. I enjoy it that much.

This is probably going to be the best car I ever own! Highly reliable, easy to drive and fun to go off roading in. This is the Lexus version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and that should be enough information right there. If you get one of these beast, hold on to it!

Very comfortable ride and seats, reliable, and great visibility. Love the Mark Levinson sound system, it is excellent! We bought it 10 months ago with 53,000 miles on it and still looks and drives like brand new. I love how whisper quiet it is, no road noise, and there is not a squeak or rattle anywhere in the vehicle. Lexus is definitely in a class of it's own. It is so easy to keep it showroom clean, which makes it still look brand new. When seeing it, no one believes it is 9yrs old.

I have owned over 25 cars. I have been a Valet in SF and have driven everything. This is a cut above. It’s as good as Mercedes but way more reliable. The factory sound system is the best. Still turns heads, awesome 4x4, wife loves it, perfect for kids, a blast to drive!

I am impressed with this vehicle. It is comfortable and stylish. However, I wish that Lexus had a turbo option as this V8 I find to be a little sluggish.

I really like this GX 460, I was considering a GX 470 instead I went with a GX 460 premium and I really like the color it not being a common color, it seems since the little I've owned it I'm always getting complements on it.

Had my 2016 gx for a year and a half now got it wit 50,000 miles 2 previous owners drove it across the country twice has a 113,000 miles now and hasnt given me one problem just regular service and maintenance. I highly recommend this vehicle. Switched to lexus from GM and its the best decision I ever made.

Does so many things well. Fulfills the promise that the luxury mid-size SUV always held out but rarely fully reached - family hauling (seats 5-7), cargo toting, trailer towing, highway cruising, off-roading, winter driving, luxury interior, maneuverable/garageable, and even durability/reliability (this is fundamentally a Toyota truck, and built to a higher standard than even Tacoma) all in one package. Only downsides are fuel economy and complex infotainment, but no vehicle is perfect.

We love the truck. It drives incredibly smooth, almost too smooth to feel capable off roads.... Yet it is. Gas mileage is poor as expected. Tech is a little behind the times however I'd buy it again in a second. It is so reliable and nice to drive.

I love my Lexus SUV, this car met all my needs and more, the ride is very comfortable. It’s great looking inside/out, inside is very spacious 3 rows seating for 7 people without luggage because the cargo space is very small, but that’s ok because my family size is 4. The beauty of this car is stunning, and has a body that never lose style, inside features are amazing, seats sets to your liking, and seat are super comfortable. Purchased new in 2015. Overhauled the brakes at 72,216 miles. Replaced the battery 2 months ago at 91,501 miles (it never failed) replaced on the advice of my Toyota service tech. Nothing else but oil/filter changes (only mobil one used in the vehicle). Now has 93,887 miles on it and it is still quiet enough to have a normal conversation going down the interstate at 70MPH. Very comfortable to drive. Have considered trading for a new one, but I think I'm going to keep it and just see how far I can go with it. Yes, I'm familiar with the Law of Diminishing returns.

Had a hybrid RH 400 for many years, needed the extra seats and love the GX 460. Can’t complain, adult really isn’t comfortable in the 3rd row for a long distance buy other than that love it. The V8 won’t be around much longer so I’m happy I got this one. Happy happy.

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. Love this vehicle. It is on a frame so it will not ride like a plush luxury vehicle but it rides and handles very well. Lexus detuned the motor bit. A little more power might have been nice but it not designed, nor do I want, a rocket. In fact, when I learned that Lexus was going to also retire this very reliable 8 cyclinder and offer twin turbo v-6s, we bought a second one. We get 18-22 miles per gallon from a reliable motor which will should last hundreds of thousands of dollars. This turbo stuff, just like the ev stuff represents false economies and will result in the death of such vehicles way before they need to be junked.

Bought a 1 owner GX460 after owning an RX350 for 14 years and 245,000 miles. I LOVED that car. The GX is perfect for my growing family and a little bigger for all of the excess a toddler has in baggage. Will always buy Lexus. Reliability beyond compare!!
