Got the 2005 FWD V6 with 212k on it for $2,500. During the 3 years I owned it the only problem I ever had was one wheel bearing. It was fun enough to drive and handled decently in the snow. My only complaints: its handling was pretty rough at speed, it's mpg wasnt great, and the interior was cheap and falling apart. Then again, you expect this sort of thing when a car has that many miles. This car never failed me and always got me where I needed to go though. In the end it came through for me again and I sold it for the same price I bought it for.

I got my used 2006 Mercury Premier Mountaineer V8 that had 262,410 miles on it, I'm at 336,710 now, years later, bought her I 2020, I'm in 2025 now, she's still going as strong as any mustang it feels, with minor repair needed in the near future, like a fuel pressure sensor and new struts. Amazing vehicle! I've gone places only jeeps would go, pulled double axles trailers, even drove for 20 hours to the Pacific Northwest, definitely a vehicle I would recommend, if you want something reliable for years to come!

This vehicle was originally rated at 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. I get 16 mpg in the city and 22 to 23 mpg on the highway in the summer and 20 to 21 in the winter. I have 243,000 miles on this vehicle. Drawback at this time is probable short in the wiring in which the drivers power seat will sometimes go back unexpectedly. Also excessive rust below door entry points. Tows very well(22’ camper)

My wife and I experienced a serious overheating problem in our Santa Fe while driving from our home in Kansas City to Chicago. He patiently explained the problem, told us they had to order a part, and promised the vehicle would be done by Tuesday. When I left the facility, Kyle said he was on the phone trying to work a little magic to get the part sooner. I don't know who he called or what he said, but he worked the magic. The part came on Monday, and they had the Santa Fe fixed and back to us a day ahead of schedule! That was tremendous. We were already sold on the Hyundai, but this experience reminded us again of why we are on our third vehicle. The level of customer care is off the charts at Hyundai. And Kyle is the best service advisor we've ever had. The repairs fixed the problem and got us safely back home to Kansas City. I would gladly recommend Kunes Hyundai without hesitation. Great vehicle and good value. I bought this vehicle 7 years ago with 15,000 miles on the odometer. It was like new inside and out. I have only had a couple of mechanical issues with the vehicle: First off, If it doesn't shift and downshift correctly, take it to the dealer, as there is a TSB out on this issue. Secondly, make sure to change the coolant every few years. Coolant only lasts so long, so at least every 5 years have it changed. On my Mountaineer the coolant aged and clogged up the radiator, resulting in a very expensive repair. Otherwise the vehicle is great and still looks relatively new despite being 18 years old. Overall very good value for what I paid for the vehicle.

I got my 2008 Mercury Mountanier after my 2003 Pontiac Grand AM transmission first gear broke. I had trouble with it with after getting stuck in the mud the transmission first gear broke the next day and the wheel bearing was not working so I just got it fix full last week and the vehicle is working at full capacity. I truly love this car and hope it last.

For the price range you can find this vehicle in it does offer quite a few great features. The model I bought did not come with Bluetooth what does offer and auxiliary cable input. The third row seating option and the amount of cargo space available when the third row is flipped down is GREAT. The model I bought also came with a ceiling mounted and detachable DVD player Gameboy Advanced combo which initially I thought didn't work but it just was not charged... it comes with wireless headphones and controller for gaming. I love this feature! Also this vehicle comes with adjustable pedals and seat with multiple saved options which make for a very comfortable ride regardless of how many people drive the vehicle.

I was in the market to purchase a reliable used car for my daughter for under $5k. We had been all over town for a couple of weeks. So far car is great. AWD will be nice in the snow. It has plenty of interer room and adaquate power. Color is nice and tires are new.

When I purchased the car it was used but with low miles. The miles are still low and the car is starting to show its age. I am grateful that the work was able to he completed in my driveway. It's still a good car and i am glad i bought it!!!

I bought my 03 Mountaineer used in July. I didnt know ANYTHING about these SUV in fact I was unaware of their existence before I found this one. I paid $1,300, it had 108,000 miles on it. Ive owned it 6 months now and yes I have put some work into it but it's a 20 yr old vehicle and so far everything ive done I would've expected a vehicle with that many years to have going on, they just happened to me right away. But you can get the parts for these cheap. I have the 4.0 V6 and I love this car! It has so much power, it is fast as xxxx for a big heavy SUV. It flies down the highway and even handles curves like a sports car. I have to be careful because it takes off right now and I can be doing 90mph without even trying and be at 80mph coming onto the highway. It tows like a champ no problems. As long as I turn the overdrive off when in town and on when I'm on highway it gets great gas milage, I love the big moon/sun roof, the pedals move to me, leather heated seats. I like that I can either open just the back window or the whole hatch depending what im doing. The negative, typical ford rusted out rocker panels, I just filled my tank today and when leaving the station I noticed my fuel gage isnt working, could be the floater is stuck but it only has 110,000 on it now. Because in the 6 months I have owned it it has been in my shop getting the tlc in deserves and im feeling confident that this Mountaineer is gonna be one that goes the distance and some. I hope so. It is a real pleasure to drive.

I love my Mercury Mountaineer I bought it secondhand previous owners didn’t take care of it very well but with a little TLC I got it right all of the styling I like handling is great never left me walking but I am a 6’4” man So the driver seat is a little tight but I make do only complaint I have is the sunvisor it’s not comfortable forwards or backwards thing I love about it most is the doorhandles

I have to dismiss all the bad jokes about used car salesmen. I met an extraordinary salesman, Joe Murphy, at Paris Motors, Inc., who proved the jokes wrong. I was in the market for a van and hoped on getting something affordable and soon for a trip out of town. Another dealer had one lined up, but it was sold before I could get to the shop - stuff happens. So back to Carfax and found one with less miles in Grand Rapids. I contacted Paris Motors and spoke with Mr. Murphy. The van was available. I went through credit approval, got it, then on to my AAA agent for insurance, got it, then made the one-hour drive to Grand Rapids and met with Joe. We talked, saw the van, gave a test drive, and my wife and I signed the paperwork. All this within 24 hours! Mr. Murphy was efficient, personable, and knowledgeable throughout the process. I have never before purchased a vehicle with such ease in my life (and I'm not young). WOW - I can highly recommend Paris Motors, Inc. as a dealer of care and quality, and kudos to Joe Murphy.

Due to a catastrophic engine failure on the mid-sized 4DR Sedan/hatchback I was driving, I made a crisi$ purchase of a 2008 Mariner in Jan 2019. The price was low, as it would soon need all new tires, new front brake pads & rotors, as well as both front steering control arms w/ball joints replaced, and, an alignment, of course, AND it had 239,ooo miles on that CD4E transmission. But inside was clean, and I was on a limited budget, and this car left me with some cash in hand for parts, and it would carry the stuff I need for work. So, I spent a weekend rolling around on the garage floor, replacing all the hard parts, got some good rubber on it, and paid for an alignment to get it driving straight: 25 months/25,ooo miles later, that V-6 is still going pretty strong, starts well in subzero (F) cold, and the transmission is still hanging in there, too! Runs pretty quiet: have to watch my speed! Just wish the upper display worked: if I bump the radio channel button, it takes a while to get back to my station!

Great design, driving and comfort inside. Perfect for personal use or families. AWD feature a must and excellent driving in winter weather conditions. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quality, reasonable priced SUV.

I bought this used at 160k miles and it ran beautifully! Until it stopped reversing and started accelerating weird at 172k miles. Otherwise great car!!
