Having driven a Swedish brand no longer in production for almost 40 years I was dreading the experience of buying a new car. I tried six brands at as many dealerships, and not only was the Outback head and shoulders about the rest, everyone at AutoNation Subaru from the sales personnel to the loan specialist to the lovely young many who took an hour to explain all the new tech to me were knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They even helped me to move my dog crate from car to car to be sure my search dog would be safe and comfortable in the new vehicle. After 23 years of driving minivans and SUVs, I was ready for a change. I love my 2016 Mini Cooper S 4 door. with the 6 speed manual transmission. Car is great to drive, gets okay mileage (25+mpg) and is surprisingly practical.

A brilliant mark of automotive excellence. An abundance of personality, only to be outdone by my 9lb chihuahua. - 135 horsepower is more than plenty on the freeway, and far too much for the city. - The design of the interior cabin feels I am already in the future, as opposed to the present. - The cabin is also very quiet. I hardly hear cars and noise around me - the sound quality from the sound system is spectacular, and the audio from phone calls is unbelievably clear. - I've never driven a car with better handling. I would say it is in a Goldielocks zone of having enough wiggle for comfort and stiffness for performance.
