I had my Nissan Frontier SV6 for 11 years and 215,000 miles. It was still running great but traded it in for something smaller and newer. Pros - Reliable, good power, good for towing, comfortable, handled well, the back seats were fine for a shorter person 5'6" and under and the bed really came in handy. Outside of some abuse the only real non-routine maintenance it needed was the underside rusting out. After 11 years when washed and waxed it still looked great. The 4wd really got me out of some jambs. Decent power. Cons - Underside (exhaust, manifold) rusted out by 100K miles. Had to replace the exhaust twice. Heavy tailgate, no step rear bumper, poor mpg (17 in mixed driving).

WE replaced our 2005 Nissan Frontier King cab with a used 2014 Nissan Frontier King cab with 70,000 miles 3 months ago. We would NOT recommend a king cab but the overall value was to good to pass up. The 2014 has dual climate control which our 2005 didn't. We expect everything else to be similar and having now used it for 5,000 miles, that appears to be true. We purchased a used 2005 Nissan Frontier King cab with 95,000 miles and drove it until it had 280,000 miles. Nissan extended (on paper) the transmission warranty to 100,000 miles (due to a radiator leak defect) but didn't cover our failure even though we reported intermitant problems at 97,000 - it failed at 100,100. Nissan refused to warrant it! The computer inside the transmission had failed causing it to shift incorrectly, damaging a gear. It cost about $3,700 to have it repaired by local shop - Nissan wanted about $7,000! There was only 1 part in the entire country and we had to wait over a week to get it. No other real issues other than individual coil packs failing at 180,000 (cylinder 1), 240,000 (cylinder 3) and 275,000 (cylinder 5). The repairs for cylinders 1 & 3 cost about $60 for the part and about 20 minutes of labor - but cylinder 5 requires removing the intake to get to it and that cost about $350. Fun to drive but mileage sucks! It handles great because it is very stiff (rides like a truck) and the v6 has some 'guts". ALWAYS starts, even at -30 (using synthetic oil changed spring and fall). Nissan needs to fix issues with poor headlights (compared to other manufacturers), gas gage reading wrong just after warranty, climate controls not effective, and evaporator (emissions system) failing happened in 3 out of 5 Nissans we owned and 2 had tecalls) since these same problems have occurred in several of our Nissan vehicals - not just the 2005 Frontier. Nissans will typically rust before other brands. We have also owned 2 Nissan Maximas and a Nissan Altima. Overall, Nissan vehicals are a good value for the money.

I came to Carmax looking for to test drive a Nissan Leaf I saw on cars.com. Actually, I tried another dealership first for the same type of car, but that dealer was closed on Sunday. CarMax is open seven days a week. That’s a plus if you, like me, have weekends off. I was able to get my credit pre-approved in just minutes. It turned out the Leaf wasn’t the car for me, but it’s neighbor, a Mercedes B Class was my glass slipper. Once I had decided which car I was buying, the process was really quick and easy. The representative asked a lot of probing questions to help confirm that I had researched the car I was buying (an all electric vehicle), which made me feel like he cared that I got the right car for me. It was a good experience and I’m very happy with my car.

Perfect for our needs. Practical with some nice bells and whistles. Just what we wanted. We'll use it for family travel and work commute. We'll keep it awhile...and happily.

I have good experience with this dealership. Pro and cons: Pro: excellent customer service. Thank you Valerie Naval. She helped me and explained everything I asked her. Cons: Car needs to be prep for sale, deep cleaning or at least check it out for anything leftover from previous owner. But Valerie offer me reimbursement for detailing my car. Most of all if you don't like your car for any reason return policy excellent with out any hidden fees, check with your salesperson for details. I would recommend Carmax to my friends .

This is one great vehicle and worth every dollar as a work truck with excellent mileage and reliability. Hardly any high-cost maintenance. Can not beat it for the money.

Never a problem and 142,000 miles. Hit a deer in 2015, airbags did not go off. Replaced everything with new parts. (Large deer and I wasn’t hurt.) I don’t like the body style. I think it looks clumsy, but Datsun/Nissans have always been good for me.

First of all, the dealership had a car I was interested in. The dealership was ready for my appointment and the car was ready to drive. Slight negotiations and we finalized the deal. The dealership exceeded my expectations.

The Salesperson Made an Amazing Car Buying Experience We went to CarMax in Independence to look for a mid-sized SUV with relatively low mileage at a reasonable price, and we found what we were looking for. A 2022 Chevy Equinox with less than 19,000 miles, in great condition and at a price and payment terms that are acceptable and affordable. I have bought a few cars in the past and I always went to “traditional” dealerships to purchase them. This was my first experience with CarMax and I can honestly say that I was blown away by the relaxing and laid back, yes I said relaxing and laid back, car buying experience! No sales pressure, no haggling over price, just a straight up purchase with no hidden or confusing terms or agreements. Everything was laid out on the table. Plain and simple. The salesperson, Austin Hubbard, was a pleasure to work with. We were facing a very difficult personal situation that could have easily made the car buying experience extremely challenging and stressful. Austin was kind, patient and understanding throughout the entire process. From the moment he greeted us at the front door until the moment we drove away, Austin was there to provide help, guidance and even some words of encouragement. He more than once told us, “I have your back”, and his actions backed that up. All right, where do I start first things first the lady who Who was our sales? Person did an awesome job her name was (Laura) But a few things I would like to mention about this dealership are 1st we had a few chips on the windshield that we’re taking care of by replacing a new windshield A+ 2nd The car gave out on me three weeks later due to a five year-old battery this vehicle was supposed to be certified with 120 point inspection. Autonation also took care of the cost of a New battery.A+ The outlets in the vehicle did not work and there was a month and a half wait to have them looked at. I replaced the relay fuses myself. C Waited over a month and a half to get the tax title and license was reassured by the sales manager (Ruiz) there was a 10 day grace. Which came to find out is NOT TRUE. And ended up putting two new tires because they were 4/32 and worn on the inside $535.00 out of pocket overall, the experience was a B- Think they could get a little bit more on the professional side.

The dealership is excellent, the staff very attentive. I had a great experience. They give full pricing up front with no hidden fees; none of the "dealership, manager's new boat, owner's third vacation home fees." While this is nice for transparency, it does make it difficult if you are someone who wants to negotiate your price. The staff were very low pressure, making for a pleasant experience.

Kerry was great! He helped me with finding the right car and was very patient with me being so indecisive. Changed my mind last minute and still helped me with a great down payment and payment plan. Will be back and definitely going to refer people.

I still have a few things to tie up with them, but so far I will give a 4 star. The wait time when I first got there and the detailing wasn't as good as I'd have liked. As far as the salesman and financing they were professional, helpful, and had wonderful bed side manners. They did an excellent job. The pricing on the used vehicle I purchased was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this dealership.
