I had been looking at C3 Corvette's for almost 2 years and I finally found my 1979 Corvette with Glass T Tops and a 4-speed manual transmission and a very clean interior and very clean interior. Very good looking Corvette and they called me earlier today and the shipper told me it was ready to be shipped out, so I should have my dream car next weekend. I want to thank Jesse, Daniel and John, for helping me out with the purchase of the Corvette and for setting up the shipping from Los Angeles to Walker County Alabama. I purchased and held car for 4 years. After I purchased the car it needed many things, water pump failed, brake lines, alternator failed, motor mounts failed, cup holders snapped in all I spent about $15,000.00 on it in 4 years on a well cared for car with about 40k miles on it. It’s not cheap to keep up and I did not overpay for repairs at the dealer. It’s a great car however it’s going to cost you to keep it up properly. All the while you own it you will have fun when it’s not in the shop. Every time you hear a noise you wonder what is next and how much will it cost. This is a car for owners with disposable income, time, an extra car and a good local Porsche specialist.

professional..however a lot of the cars they are selling don't run or need extensive work..it makes me feel the ads are a bit deceptive..not disclosing that info upfront..I wouldn't have wasted my time pursuing these vehicles

Good review of a very desirable car but if you want credibility, research why the key is on the left. It's there for Le Mans starts ... remember, drivers ran across the track, jumped in the car and drove off without seatbelts fastened. Having the key on the left allowed the drivers to start the engine with the left hand and shift to first with the right - the cars were all angled off in the direction of the track so as soon as the engine started and the car was in gear, the hands would be brought back to steering.

After a terrible experience at Rusnak! I had the car there(Rusnak Service Dept." for 5 days with an appointment before they did a "Check Engine Light" Like.. come-on! Really!? I decided to take my Porsche out of there and called Porsche Downtown in L.A. and made an appointment for tomorrow morning with Andy Acevedo Service Advisor. Great guy! I dropped my car the next day and they gave me a beautiful loaner. Which Rusnak never offered me the last four times I had brought my 991. I received a call from Andy around 2 p.m. and told me they replaced a defective engine thermostat and the vehicle was ready for pickup! Like Wow! THANK ANDY AND L.A. PORSCHE FOR THE GREAT SERVICE!

The car is perfect. Looks fabulous, handles magnificently, is solid and fast. Nothing ever seems to go wrong with it. Oh’ it is a cabriolet and is perfect for the Texas climate. No additional comments needed.

In 2016, I bought my 2017 Porsche Macan fully-loaded at Downtown L.A. Porsche. The sales experience – from test driving four different Porsche SUV and sports-car models, to the calm negotiations – was the most professional in 31 years of car-purchases. Yet, my 2019 customer service and car repair EXCEEDED this positive sales experience. The one throughline in these experiences is DTLA GM Victor Ghassemi. In short, my tires were defective and there was a battery issue. After I talked with a closer dealer who tried to upsell me roughly $3000 in repairs, I reached back to Downtown L.A. Porsche. Making update to my review below. Porsche Downtown LA contacted me directly and agreed to pay for all repairs and make the situation right. They were very apologetic about the entire situation and are willing to go above and beyond to make things better than right. I appreciate their response.

What can I say, the benchmark of sports cars. I have a 4S Cabrio. I chose the 4 as I like all-wheel-drive, even in Florida. Better grip. The S also has more horsepower. Build quality and fit and finish our superb. The ultimate sports car without all the problems of the Italian cars. You’d be hard to find a car with better handling and Performance. The look is timeless. There’s no mistake at what you’re looking at when you see a Porsche. Great car.

Just got a Macan at Porsche Ontario. I have spent only 2.5 hours at the dealer. Everything went smoothly. If I buy another Porsche, I must see Tyson Toeller. He made things simple, and he knows exactly how the customers feel and what they want. I called Tyson again after 2 days of buying a Macan to ask for LoJack information. I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.
