Porsche did a nice job on the Cayenne redesign. Car has great lines and the interior instrumentation/ Nav screen has great aesthetics. Best part is the power. It has great acceleration 0-60 in 4.2 seconds for the S. Finally Porsche holds it value if you take care of it.

This review is for 2016 GTS model. After owning this car for a year / 20k miles, it left mixed impressions. Good: - very engaging, fun ride. Especially after installing fabspeed cat bypass and in the sport+ mode, the car sounds amazing - handling is good, its not jumpy on high speeds - interior quality - overall this was my best car to date for long road trips, not only it’s not tiring, but also fun, even on 12 hour drive. - the looks … gts model looks amazing … you cannot tell it from the 2023 model from the front, and the back overall looks better - nice gas tank size, dont need to refuel often - seats are comfortable - the AC and air quality inside the car is very good Bad: - honestly the car has mechanical flaw. You can find more info on this online, but the transmission is jerky on low speed and abrupt during breaking. The car had transfer case changed twice and it did not help. Imo this is the software issue - the v6 engine is weak. Comparing to x6m this is a totally different game. It cannot compete - trunk space is a disaster … the trunk is tiny - overall reliability, there’s been a couple of faults here and there Overall I am confused with the experience. While it was a fun car, I would have expected much more from porsche in terms of reliability and performance. Maintenance of a car is another issue, you can’t just drop by at any decent shop, because most don’t work on porsche. Those that do, are booked or don’t accept the 3rd party warranty

I ended up not purchasing a vehicle but from the first phone call with Rodrick King I was treated professionally and courteously. I very recently bought a 2025 LYRIQ from the Sewell family. I have exclusively driven Acura’s (10ea) for the past 15 years but decided to take the plunge and go all electric. Acura didn’t have a good option, so I did my research and settled on the LYRIQ as the best option balancing design, reliability, and the features I wanted. I tried a dealership in the far North Houston area and while they were nice, they lacked follow up when I decided to make a purchase. I then tried Sewell and am so glad I did. I have to say it was the most hassle-free experience to buy a new car in nearly 50 years of experience. My salesperson was Cailee Thames, and she was fabulous. She answered all my questions, and I very quickly got what I think was an exceptionally fair price, based on my research. I never had to go through the traditional drill of “let me get the sales manager” who then wants to upsell. I dealt only with Cailee. Since I needed my wife to come back and make the final decision, I was prepared to pay a deposit to hold it, but Cailee said that’s not the way they do business. A handshake held the car for several days before we could get back. Everyone I came in contact with was very professional and focused on the customer. All the closing documents were done online and provided in print form. Of course, the car was flawless, inside and out. About a week after I got the car, I decided I wanted to get the Tesla charger adapter. I called the closer dealer, and they quoted me $400+ so I went back to Cailee who got it for me at $225, as we had discussed earlier. I live a long way from them and wanted it shipped to save the drive and expected I’d have to pay for shipping, but no, the parts department said they would take care of it, and it went out the same day. So, my bottom line is that the Sewell dealership does treat you like a “customer for life” from the beginning of the experience. I can highly recommend buying from Sewell, even if they are not the closest to you. And if you’re lucky enough to be assigned Cailee, you’ll be even happier .

Now that an initial manufacturing defect with my dashboard has been fixed and wood trim has been added, I really love my car. It is a palace on wheels and a truly amazing vehicle to behold. However, to get to this point, I've realized the following: 1) It's critical to find a quality Porsche dealership. While they do exist, they are few and far between. In my area, there is only one that I'd trust to do much more than a routine oil change. 2) Porsche as a manufacturer has a surprising disregard for both quality control and customer service. They expect their dealer network to resolve their shortcomings. 3) Pricing is not fixed or consistent for anything. Even parts and routine maintenance costs. You can save a lot of money by calling around and being informed.

2016 Cayenne Diesel is a great car. Well built, great performance, yes you can accelerate uphill, great brakes, great looks, comfortable for short and long trips. Drive 100 miles on the highway and watch your mileage remaining increase! Always fun.

My wife and I are past Lexus owners. Their new front end killed them for us. Happy they did though. The Cayenne is one of the best performance cars I have owned. While being fast and responsive it is also very comfortable. Interior is designed like a cockpit with all controls close to the driver.

Here’s a simple way to mentally categorize the new Cayenne GTS. It’s basically a Turbo without the turbochargers. This SUV is a capable sports car, its fun to drive and versatile. Great everyday car. What is noticeable is that the GTS feels more willing, more frisky, and more awake than the S. Shorter final-drive ratios in the front and rear differentials help the GTS move from a stoplight with more conviction. Quicker shifts from the eight-speed automatic transmission also help. A more aggressive intake cam and modified engine management are good for 420 hp, 20 more than in the Cayenne S. The GTS comes with the Turbo’s front fascia, LED-accented active headlights, body-color fender extensions and side skirts, red brake calipers, black window frames, and darkened LED taillights.

Was looking for an SUV for everyday/long-haul drives that met my priorities - safety, comfort, reliability, fuel economy. This one has them in spades! Superior ride quality, excellent fuel economy (I have the diesel version), and very sporty. The interior is very elegant with well laid out controls. I just wish it had a bit more power (diesel version). Overall, very solid, practical, comfortable, sporty SUV.
