Bought used with 30K miles in 2006. Now has 88K miles. Only problem so far is power antenna; we just leave it up. I do oil changes at 5K, replaced spark plugs at 50K, tires at 60K and replaced battery before winter of 2011 (preventive maintenance). All else is original. Fun to drive, quick, 28 mpg local and 32+ travelling. This 2001 4 door 5 speed manual turbo moon roof hatchback is wonderful car. Too bad they stopped making them.

Anyone who complains about a Saab simply doesnt take care of it. The Saab has been an absolute joy to have. The car is solid in everyway possible. Yes, the parts can be a bit expensive, but that is due to the company closing its doors in 2011. And the rarer your model and options the harder and more expensive it can be to get. However, as long as you take care of the car and upkeep the basic maintenance it runs perfect. There are plenty of videos to help you diagnosis issues if you have any. And you can always visit forums to ask for help. Yes GM had engineered some stuff in Saab. But the car is literally built to last, as long as you do the maintenance. If you get a lemon i feel bad for you. But other than that its a great car.

Got the car back in 2010 with about 11k miles it's still running great with regular maintenance at ~284k miles now. Some minor issues along the way but still runs great.

The thing I like most about this car is the way it drives! Quiet on the road, handles great and cruises effortlessly at freeway speeds, plus great fuel mileage!

I recently purchased a 2004 Saab 9 3 Arc convertible. I knew very little about Saabs but they always intrigued me. I've only had it for a few days but I am very impressed with its overall quality, comfort and performance. Saab stopped making cars in 2012 because they could not compete with their Audi and Mercedes target market. Having owned both of those German brands, I think Saab approaches them in quality. Test drive one, I think you'll enjoy it.

This is the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Drove her off the lot brand new and 16 years later and 150K miles, she’s still smooth as silk. Only repairs are a window and windshield wiper!! So sad they don’t make these cars anymore.

Recently purchased a rare find 2003 Saab Convertible 9-3, one owner with low 45,000 miles. Love the way it handles and quality styling. I sold my 2015 Acura, which I Loved, because of the technology package. Simply didn’t drive enough to keep the system charged and constantly worrying about cost if something goes wrong. This little Saab is so adorable and I’m no longer stressed by all the bells and whistles of my Acura!

Nice car, handles well. Plenty of room for passengers. This vehicle has ton of extras, leather, moonroof. The only negative is it does not allow Bluetooth hook up for cell phone.

The car wouldn't accept gas Bob told me to take it to their mechanics their mechanics found some stuff that was wrong with it and Bob took care of me as I was his own family. I'm an out of state buyer who is willing to gamble. I was looking for the best specimen of a particular older car which I didn't need-but wanted. I went into this with the attitude I was willing to spend a couple of thousand extra to get eveything right. The car was a one owner 2009 Florida car with 74K miles. The body and paint was in incredible condition. I spent an additional $1500 for a new suspension and to replace degraded window rubber seals neither of which was absolutely necessary-but I like to have things right. The car now looks and runs like 2 year old car-people are shocked when I tell them it is 15 years old! This is the second -and probably last car I will purchase online. I got burned on a previous online purchase-but this was an impulse buy which I could afford to risk and only time will tell if I made out Ok. But for now, I'm pleased. All this being said, Emron was true to his word and even came through with the missing owners manual a couple of weeks later. As of now, I consider my experience was good one.

I bought my saab 93 in early 2012. I paid $5800, in the head 93001 owner miles on it. The car has been nothing short of a great attended drive the wheels off my cars in this one has really held up. I'm a minimal meat is cut out that I change the oil I do the important repairs but I don't nit pick my cars. The sob now has 209000 miles 200 and 10000 and I intend to keep it another 20 to 30000 miles at least and when to have a hard time replacing this 1

This car was amazing. It lasted 12 years and 190,000 miles before a tree landed on it and it needed too many repairs. Over those 12 years is only needed an alternator and a seat rip repaired, that is it. The car was excellent as it handled well, it got great gas mileage (averaged 26 mpg in the suburbs, 35 or 36 mpg on the highway), and had nice acceleration with minimal turbo lag. The fact is was so durable made you overlook to some degree the unusual controls. The turn stalk felt flimsy like you could break it easily but over all those years nothing went wrong with it. The key is in the center but that was fine and Saab claimed they did it so you would not hit it with your knee in a car accident, and break your kneecap. This car even had one USB port even though it was a little before its time. The heads-up display worked well. Even though the car was badly damaged by the tree as I had to go off road and damaged the underside of my car badly, my mechanic bought it from me, fixed it, and sold it to a college student. Now it is 13 years old and has over 200,000 miles on the original powertrain. If that is not durable I don't know what is. No car I have owned has lasted as long as that one - not Toyota, not Honda. They also have lasted a long time but the transmissions on both of them died by 160,000 miles for the Toyota, by 140,000 on the Honda. If I could buy a relatively new one again I would but of course I cannot as they are no longer in business. Too bad, despite their quirks, they were durable, reliable, efficient cars.
