Used Subaru Forester for sale near Stoutsville, OH under $20,000

Excellent service! I took my certified 2021 CRV recently purchased from Hugh White used lot to have service for auto-idle not working. Turns out battery was bad. There was no charge for service, battery, or diagnostics even though technically I purchased from lot a few months ago. Big thanks to Steve Skaggs, Hugh White Honda service advisor for his help and understanding!

I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.

Heidi and Natalie did an awesome job getting us into what we needed and stayed in our price range. Didn’t pressure us to get something we couldn’t afford! Definitely will return to here.

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

Let me begin by saying if you're in the market for a used car you need to talk to these guys. Super professional, cordial, helpful, and absolutely easiest to deal with. I drove 8 hours from PA to pick my 2006 Bentley, and simply had them best car buying experience ever, and I've purchased a few cars in my time. Lol. Knowing I had a long ride home. I mentioned that to Sean in advance and amazingly he had me signed, sealed, and delivered in under 45 minutes. What classy way to buy and sell a car, thanks again guys. I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. I would recommend this car to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

I was impressed how well I can see out of the car at all angles. It is difficult for me to turn my body due to neck, hip and back problems. I am 5'10" and have very long legs. This car also has alot of head and leg room. My daughter rides comfortably in her booster seat in the middle seat. I feel I have more control and better handling with this car then any other. I have had a Honda Accord, Volvo XC90, Toyota Corolla and Cadillac Deville in recent years. My only complaint is the front seats are uncomfortable. (My other car is a Deville which feels like a recliner.) There isn't anything fancy about the car but I just have the base model. I am happy with all the features and the gas mileage is awesome. There is a ton on truck space.

Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

High volume operation. Willing to negotiate. Helpful staff. On the downside, the car (a ‘22 Mustang GT) smelled like a 1 star motel that rents per hour It really needed to be detailed prior to showing yet was on the lot @60 days. I’d buy from them if the car was acceptable.

The Forester is the first SUV I ever owned. It has had a few issues, but the dealership, Kenny Ross in Irwin Pa, has always been top notch in customer service. First issue was the orignal tires went bald after only 10,000 miles. I called Kenny Ross and they said they would contact corporate. Got 4 new tires at no charge. Next issue I did not even know I had. Took it in for an oil change and they tell me I need a new CVT. Didn't know I had a problem. No charge again. Last issue was a radio that kept giving an error message and would not work. Took four visits to isolate the problem, but now have a new radio that brings in more stations. Again for free. Highly recommend the bumper to bumper warranty. Money well spent.

Great. Wish I had more time To Fill this 99% grand So Far-

It drives like a dream. I enjoy driving it and so does my husband. The visibility is awesome. It sticks to the ground and takes corners and curves well. It is comfortable and we have driven on several long trips with it. The drawback is storage. We had three people on one trip and with 3 suitcases, a cooler, and the sundry items you pick up, there was barely room for a passenger in the back. The ride was great even through some awful weather. Daily drive is great and I consistently get better gas mileage than on the sticker, unless my husband drives then it is worse. Lol.

Everything was taken care of on site! Walked in and drove away in less than 1 hour!!

This 2016 Premium model has some wonderful upgrades but I wish that I could read the screen when the full sun obscures it. I really liked the more boxy design of my 2002 Premium, but I guess everything has to change.

Been looking and looking for my first Tesla EV. I spoke to Jake on the phone a few times. But Jake was off on the day I could come out. So, Jake had me meet with Alonzo what a great experience. I felt like I got a great deal but almost as important to me a great client experience! No back in forth just a deal that was good for all parties! P

This is a follow up review, I did have to change the head gaskets out on my 2010 forester. I've seen this is common, once again, the work is able to be done by a DIY mechanic. Since 2020 Ive had to change the ignition coil, spark plug wires, head gaskets in February of 2024, and also the crankshaft position sensor. The car had 165,000 miles when the head gaskets needed changed. So far it has 173,000 miles and still runs well. Also changed were the clutch and throwout beairng, and another timing belt change. It still runs very well, the exhaust is getting rusty and have had to fix that, overall its been a good car. I've owned it for 12 years and the ability to work on it yourself is what I really like about it, it isn't fast, but its quite utilitarian and my dog loves it as well. So if you don't mind working on your own stuff its one of the easiest cars to work on with the way the engine is oriented in the longitudinal position. I've always changed the oil every 4-5000 miles since I've had it, the heads and valves were completely clean. I'd say if one keeps up the servicing on these they are good vehicles to own. Not looking forward to when it blows, they don't make plain cars like this now adays.

This car is sper smooth beacuse of the AWD. The ride smoothness is waht led me to buy it. Great handling in all kinds of terrain. Comfortable on long rides. very reliable.

I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

I've had three other Subarus and this one is my favorite. One of the best parts about this car is how spacious it feels inside. The tall roof combined with the panoramic sunroof bring the outside in and make for a happy drive. It also has the famous Subaru boxer engine and AWD. Road noise is a bit louder than competitors, but that's ok to me because it makes the ride more fun. Also like the Eyesight suite of safety features. It adds a level of confidence to my commute. It also holds a lot of cargo when it needs to do it.

Test driving a few BMW’s, salesman very helpful, provided great info on cars, let’s us drive, take our time...no pressure to sell, helped us figure out what is best fit for our needs... checking out one more car else where but may be back to purchase car here

Very reliable for the 2010 2.5 limited I bought used in 2023 with 196k miles. very sporty feel and look, quick response and the automatic was quiet even when pushed, acceleration on the base engine was awesome and driving was lots of fun. the leather seats are incredible although the lack of dual zone as an option was disappointing. The brakes were somewhat uninspiring but got the job done, and the steering feel and moonroof were awesome. Gas mileage is decent even in 2024 but was somewhat low in comparison to the 2010 outback at 22 city and 27 highway, at 17 city and 21 highwayI for the forester 2010 . I got in a high speed accident and cabin intrusion was non existent and all occupants got out uninjured. Best car I've ever had, would buy over any other Subaru new or used.

What an amazing experience from the first contact to driving off the lot with Deshawn and Drew at Ricart. Both gentlemen were extremely thorough, genuine and answered all of the 57373 questions that I had. They also walked me through step by step and left me feeling like I was being heard and not just a dollar sign which is something that doesn’t typically happen during the car buying experience. . I enjoyed my experience so much that four days later I went back and purchased a car for my husband!! The experience for my husband’s car was beyond top notch! After being taken advantage at another dealership my husband was extremely hesitant to purchase a car. Once again, Deshawn and Drew were with us every single step of the way, answered all of our questions and were extremely honest with us. My husband found a car online he liked but after talking with Deshawn, realized it was not the best route. Deshawn made a list of my husband’s top wants and found the perfect car for him! I bought my Subaru in 2023 because it only had 60,000 miles on the OD. It's the minimal 2.5X model, but I couldn't pass up the car at such a low price. After driving it for over a year, I put only 6000 miles on it. I took it to the Subaru dealer for NY state inspection, and had the brakes replaced, and paid for the 60000 mi Subaru recommended service. I love this car, especially since I can connect my iPod to the blue tooth and play my music library. It is a bit noisy on the highway, but it's not the luxury model, so that's expected. The Subaru dealer said everything on the car was real solid. So far it has been very dependable, and easy to drive in the snow. It has no leaks, no dents, no squeaks, no problems. I've owned and driven 8 Subaru's over the past 40 years, and I'm hoping to keep my 2013 model and drive it for at least another 10 years.

Bought one in 2010 with 32k miles on it. Head gasket failed at 110k. Thwy are known for this failure. $1000 repair including timing belt and water pump. Used an after market gasket. Car continued another 124k miles with regular service/oil changes/tires/brakes. Best car ever. Would still have it if it hadn't been rear ended and totaled on the highway. Car saved my life.

Had this car for seven years, never any problems, very low mileage. Very nice to drive, smooth gas mileage around 30 mpg. Traded it in for a new forester, I actually was ready to cry, when I left it. Very reliable.

They were so helpful and responsive! I didn’t end up buying a car with them because I found a different one I liked, but they were so nice.

I’m the 3rd owner of a 2012 Subaru Forester purchased at approx 175,000 miles and it still runs pretty good! It does burn oil up pretty quickly and mine has issues with reading the levels and won’t give me a warning light so i check the dip stick often. Mine did have exhaust issues and had to replace a rested out piping from the cat back, but mufflers were still good. Also the Oxygen sensor was a problem for awhile, which you can only use on brand for it to work properly. Gas mileage is decent for the size of the vehicle and its age. Only wish the front seats went back more bc my taller girlfriend who is 5’11 with long legs struggles to fit and be comfortable in the passenger seat.
