Used Subaru Legacy for sale near Mechanicstown, NY under $40,000

Mr. Cabreja was professional when we got upset that the vehicle we wanted to purchase was sold and tried to advise us that he was willing to assist us to find the vehicle we wanted. He did find the vehicle and a couple of days later we drove it home. He was attentive to our needs and very caring, as if, he was a family member.

My third Subaru and like the others is attractive and roomy enough to fit 5. I've hauled 8ft boards inside with the doors/trunk closed (only an Outback would hold more). The (now sadly discontinued) 6-cyl engine has about 51000 miles now and is smooth and sounds better than a four. Fuel economy is decent and, on regular gas, averages in the low 20s. It has all the 'nannies' which make driving safer for me. I just love looking at my car which is important to me. This one's a keeper!

Old school atmosphere....just the way it should be: Great customer service, knowledgable about the product, courteous and Honest with a capital H. Traded in my Honda, got a fair price and used it as a down payment on new Subaru. Best car by a mile I have ever owned. Top notch people. Actually, the best car dealership I have ever been to. Marc Debenedictis was one for the ages as the absolute best sales person anyone could ever hope to meet. A true professional in every sense and a man who truly cares. Mike Maresca helped solidify the deal and was totally perfect in everyway.

As my lease was coming to an end, I looked into a few Acura dealerships. I got a few quotes and was not satisfied with the customer service and professionalism. After contacting 8 dealerships and dealing with numbers that were not to my liking... I started to contemplate if I wanted to continue doing business with Acura. My boyfriend and I decided to check out the Acura of Wappingers Falls being that it was down the road from us and months ago they reached out to us with open arms. It ended up being the best decision. I not only got a new car but I found a dealership that I am proud to be apart of. Acura of Wappingers Falls has a family-like vibe to it and this is what inclined me to do business with them. I worked with product specialist Jason Fogelquist, sales manager Dan Flores, finance manager Carlo Saenz, and Inventory manager Jamal Wyatt. Jason got me the deal I was looking for, Dan approved, Jamal found me my car and got it to the Wappingers Falls lot within 3-4 business days and Carlo was very through and funny when it came time for contracts and signing (a process that is usually tedious and boring was fast and fun). They deserve special shout outs for their professionalism and customer service and all around personality that made me walk out of Acura yesterday with a smile on my face. I look forward to bringing my car-baby to get serviced because I know it is in good hands. It is without a doubt that I recommend this dealership.. and ONLY this dealership to everyone who is looking into getting into an Acura. I know for a fact my family and friends will be visiting. from the first day I had it I haven’t had any issues with it as it handles great and gas economy is awesome. I don’t have a negative to write. I drove Lincoln’s for the last 20 or more years and because they stopped making cars and only Crossovers or SVU’s, I searched high and low to find an equivalent car and googled all the options that were a must and the Subaru Legacy Elite came up and my husband and I went to look and drove out with our new car and couldn’t be happier. The ride is comfortable and the car is just great.

I was planning to buy a luxury brand and test drove the BMW 3 series, the Audi A4, and the Lexus ES300. I then, due to reviews on Consumer Reports, tested the Subaru Legacy in it's top form, the Touring XT with a 260 HP engine, and I was blown away. Almost as quick as the BMW but rode smoother and quieter. Not as smooth and quiet as the Lexus, but more fun to drive. The Audi seemed cramped and the dealer was a disappointment. The Legacy interior was the most attractive in my opinion, has 4 wheel drive, a great sound system, and ended up being my favorite of the 4 cars, regardless of price. When you consider how competitive (or better) the Legacy is compared to the other 3 cars, and that I saved $13,000 on the price, it was a no brainer. It's really sad the Legacy is being discontinue, but all my comments also apply to the Outback Touring XT. The Legacy is a great car at a bargain price.

Jim Ferrara the service director is the best person in that department. He is an asset to service! He has all the knowledge you would want and more. Jim has been there for years and been nothing but helpful, courteous and knowledgable never tries to sell you something that is not needed. Jim also did a great job explaining everything on our new car along with Marcus the parts manager and answered all questions during the new car orientation. Sales department could be better when it comes to pricing for a brand new car. However everyone is courteous and helpful. The general manager Dave Girolamo very nice, willing to work with you always available to chat. Also very knowledgeable on sales to products. Curry does take good care of you.

The 2021 Legacy is improved comfort riding, leg room, the dashboard is digitalized at greater extend. the Charcoal gray color is awesome, looks very elegant. I like the new wheel design and interior changes that add a luxury look that my 2019 did not have.

Poppy was great to buy from. Was shopping for my first car. Found an awesome car through cars.com and we called him. Took it for a test drive, before which he had already put new tires and breaks on the vehicle. AC had issues, he got it fixed by a repair shop in 2 days, and picked it up shortly after. Car has a few cosmetic issues but he didn't try to hide them. Car came with a warranty which is great for peace of mind, but keep in mind not all of his cars do. He gave us a great deal, and I couldn't be happier.

This car met and exceeded my expectations. I previously owned a 2012 Subaru Legacy. My '16 is what I wished my '12 was & more!

I drive eighty miles round trip to work. My Legacy is quiet, comfortable and the Eye Sight is great! I’m safe and secure knowing my Subaru has my back. I’d like better mpg but at 32 on average I guess I shouldn’t complain. Love my Subie!

Purchased new in March 2018 Legacy Limited 2.5. Used as main commuting car until late 2023-now has 89000 miles. Commute 84 miles roundtrip at 80-85 mph, very steady and secure and 29-30mpg. Excellent in heavy rain (never driven in snow) we get in Houston. Will keep 4 more years but Subaru discontinued the Legacy so likely another brand if I want a sedan.

I went to service department of CJD of Warwick with an oil leak which horrified me. Bobby Leichter identified the problem, contacted the warranty department and had it fixed for me in no time! I am so grateful I went to see him, and will be returning in the future for all my repair needs on my jeep. Thanks a Million Bobby

The Legacy is an excellent ride, with all wheel drive for that extra dependability in the winter time. Subaru is synonymous with reliability. I would recommend to anyone.

I love the AWD system. The car handles very well in snow. It handles really good no matter the road conditions. I've owned this car for 7 years and it's never left me stranded. Gets decent gas mileage. And it has great visibility. The 2014 Legacy 3.6R is overall my favorite car I've ever owned. If I had one thing I'd like to see improved, it would be to make a turbo or preferably a twin turbo version with like 450HP.
