It's a good car but definitely the catalitic converter is a huge problem...if the engine light is on you need to find an other engine computer to replace it which is very difficult to find and after that the car consumes a lot of fuel which is crazy...finally it is a car level Medium...

Love this car! Would buy it again over and over. Have 257,000 miles on mine and still going. Other than brakes and tires, very minimal repairs. Interior, the back seat had an issue because I put too much weight in the trunk, and it is known to buckle. Exterior is cheap and has just started to rust after 13 years in one corner of one fender. The only major repair I have had was on the rear suspension and because these are no longer made, I couldn't find a new part for it, but it was easy to find one at a junk yard. This is a reliable daily driver for me and I take it everywhere. The only people I wouldn't recommend it for is someone really tall. I had 6"2" driver, and he fit, but not as comfortably as he would have liked.

after being burnt by Audi i wasnt looking for another expensive classy luxury car id drive that q5 500 miles and it would start breaking down finally i got sick of being stranded and gave it away at 100k miles it needs about 7000 in work easily ! a suzuki was the last car on my mind but after driving it i was hooked the suzuki i bought was in an accident with a deer so the guy wanted it gone his insurance totaled it because the deer damaged the hood the front bumper and a headlight assembled all of which are easily replaced by anyone with mechanical aptitude! the insurance company loss my gain this suzuki has already been a million times better than my audi q5 not stylish or classy but runs circles around my audi in dependability and fuel milage ! a car isnt much good if its always breaking down suzuki is no longer in america because they ran forever and dont break down ! my only regret is that i didn't purchase 3 of them for the price of one audi and im sure there are many like myself whom wish they had shown more support for suzuki !

I was surprised when I bought the suzuki sx4 you do not feel like it working hard to stay with hyway speed it goes like it has a bigger motor i think it is a great car I wish they still bought it in to the USA cause they are so great I like it so much and I will miss it cause they do not have dealers anymore in the US.

This Suzuku is great for a single person, couple or very small family. The car runs extremely well with regular maintenance and gets great gas mileage. It's easy to maneuver and affordable to take care of. The interior is great for an individual or a couple. Otherwise, adding multiple adults in the back or a carseat makes the car a tight squeeze for anyone.

Bought a chrysler sebring with 20,000 miles on it 7 years ago (now 65,000) Routine maintenance. Never an issue. Still running great. Best deal I ever made in my 50 years of buying and driving.

We purchased our SX4 Ex-ec in September 2012, to date 25600 miles, never used a drop of oil, we have travelled 3 times through Europe to Austria and Italy, abroad averaging 50 Mpg in the UK up to 43 mpg. No complaints whatsoever and the most comfortable car we have had. Apart from service , had a new battery 2 years ago, Changed tyres at 20000, best and most reliable car I have ever owned during car ownership of 59 years.

Searched high and low for a nice vehicle for months. I visited tens of car lots and God just did not see fit for me to purchase from them. Either they jacked the prices up tremendously from what the vehicle was actually worth or when you would start the car, it had several code lights on. I took my time and I found swerve auto. Yeah, it’s a bit of a meme it being so old, having a grueling time to 60 mph, and having gold rims. It’s about the character though, the amount of “car” you get out of it is unbeatable, it’s such a slow car but flooring it and hearing the tiny v6 roar like a v8 never gets old. This truly is a luxury car it’s many features and quirks make it such a love able car, your happy to see it, it’s happy to see you.

I bought the car new in 2008. It now has 256,000 miles. Suzuki makes incredible vehicles had a Samurai over 250000 miles and Sidekick over 200000 miles and now the SX4 with 256000 miles, I have never spent any money on repairs. 296,749 miles and still going. Only thing I have had an issue with is low beam head light.. But that’s just been in the last year . Have replaced it twice . But I will not complain ! It’s a great vehicle and I love it .

Had car for 8 years now, I put on 75k Minor problems here and there, but fod the price I paid (7500) no way I can complain. Cat converter, brakes, 02 sensor, idler pulley, belt, tie rod, lower control arm(wheel fell off at 5 mph) are issues I had. I change oil every 3k, and rotate tires. Love love the car. The sidekick might not be the biggest of the SUV/4x4 vehicles around but it is a bang for its but.The only bit of a downside I have found is the acceleration, but once you get going its a nice ride. The sidekick being a narrow tall vehicle neeeds to be watched taking any corners hard, bu same as most SUV's, to hard of a corner it could possibly tip. The 4x4 is great on the sidekick and will get you through just abot anything you put in front of it. If you are looking for a cheaper SUV and somthing with a 4 banger, i would definately reccommend this little guy, fun ride for sure. It has a nice roomy sideways opening hatch, can store alot.

I've put about 4K miles on my car so far. I have a mechanic family member who loves this brand so I decided to give it a try. The AWD and affordable price were some appealing hooks for me as well. Wanted an Audi but didn't want the Audi price tag and maintenance costs --been there done that! To be honest though, it was when I sat inside it's ultra comfortable interior and hear the roar of the motor that I made my final decision to purchase this vehicle! Later I learned it had really good crash ratings due Suzuki adding extra metal into the vehicle and extra air bags. It also has really good brakes and handling according to Suzuki tests (I can't disagree so far). When it came out, I'm sure it was one of the absolute best vehicles out dollar for dollar, especially with AWD.
