The models of the Toyota Camry-Solara are some of the most reliable models on the market, with a decent look, and even better cost per performance. I picked mine up used for about $2800, it ended up costing me an extra $3500 to get it back on the road properly, but the car has been absolutely mint ever since then. I’ve put over 80,000 kilometres on the car so far with only minor issues of things on the car simply aging out such as brakes, exhaust leaks etc. nothing major to write home about as it is a 20 year old chassis, with pretty much all factory parts still on the car. Considering majority of the car comes from the Camry, it’s no wonder the Solara is just about as relible, if not the same, with that being said, sourcing parts for this car can either be impossible because the Solara decided to be different (window regulators are noteworthy), or easy as can be it’s really a 50/50. Overall I’ve enjoyed the driving experience the cars given me, it is pretty decent on gas, above average mpg, 0-60 in 7.5 business days but we bought a golorified Camry, not a Supra, but surprisingly the performance is very satisfactory! I would 100% recommend the Solara to buy, especially as a first car as you don’t get a more complete package than this.

Bought the solera in 2008 and am very happy with the car / I have 140000 miles on the car and have had only minor maintance. This car will ultimately be a classic.

Lots of options in all price ranges . Easy to sit in/test drive cars. Tim was great and no pressure sales. Will recommend and go back. Clean bathroom for customers. Air conditioning inside. Easy to get to off Cook road, the (hwy) 9 or the (hwy) 20. Local & around since the 80's.

We sold our silver SLE in excellent conditions with just over 300K miles. I am certain it still has a long life ahead of it. It remains one of the most favorite cars we have owned. Over the years we took it on 5 cross country trips and it never missed a beat. Pros: *Absolutely reliable. *Huge trunk for a convertible, especially with the top down vs. other cars. * Looks have held up very well. * Decent highway mileage. * SLE has heated seats, cruise control, etc. Cons: None. Buying a used SLE today and then spending an extra ~$1000 to put in a very good audio/nav system with android auto/Carplay, review camera would make for a terrific car.

08 Solara with 89k. Just had the timing belt and related parts swapped out. I don't think it could run any or any better! Toyota is just not playing fair. This car is 16 years old and shoes no signs of slowing down. Just routine maintenance. Don't forget your timing belt!

I couldn’t afford car payments anymore and just wanted a car for local driving. So I purchased this car with cash. The 137,000 miles on the car made me nervous. I purchased the car at the end of 2022 and the car so far has been great. I’m trying to reserve mileage because the car already has high mileage but already put around 2000 miles on it and the car runs like a charm with no problems.

Bought used have never regretted it.l...low maintenance...no big problems..only the wheel sensor needs replacing and 02 sensor..not bad for 200 000 plus miles..just keep your oil changed and you'll get great service..runs like a dream..

We bought our 2004 Solara from the Toyota dealership (used) in 2005. I use it exclusively and it is the best car I have ever owned. It has never let me down, never had any problems beyond normal wear and tear. As noted by other reviewers, the seat is not the most comfortable but I was able to solve that problem with a small back cushion that fills in the lower back gap. Gas mileage is good, sound system great, and it’s still a fine looking car. I’ve had it rust-proofed and there are no serious issues in that department. I have a great mechanic who does twice-yearly maintenance on it, and I’ve had she usual run of wear and tear fixes, but definitely nothing out of the ordinary. If you find one on the used car market, snap it up. Mine is now 20 years old and it is not for sale.

Went to Phat’s today to look at a Camry and can say this was easily my best dealer experience. Phat took the time out of his busy day to talk with me about the car and share his great knowledge of the engines and navigating the used car buying experience. He gave me advice and was honest and straight up with me placing no pressure to buy the car even giving advice which would lead me elsewhere. If your like me and hate going to dealerships because of the sellers you usually encounter, I can assure you that if you walk in and ask for Phat he will give you that feeling right off the bat that he is a trust worthy person. He will give you advice about the vehicle (coming from a master auto technician) and get you into something that is right for you not into some xxx that has the best profit margin. Also if your cool he will even show you cars he is working on in his shop and shoot the xxxx! My experience today was different (for the better) because the small issues I had with the car he was willing to sit down and go over making a list to fix before we made a deal… where I am used to the seller dropping the notorious “the car is priced for what your getting”. Anyways, he has clean cars there and stands by them with a warranty that is rare in the used car business. And trust me when you talk to him you know he will stand behind his warranty and his cars. That is why I will be going back.. he just had a vehicle come in that I like but is not ready yet. Thanks again Phat for all the knowledge and just being a cool dude!

Plenty of leg room. My only complaint is the VSC light keeps coming on. After lots of research I feel as though Toyota should deem this a recall item. Seems as though many people eventually have this problem.

Great starter car. Very functional, surprising amount of cargo space. Extremely reliable, runs well after two previous owners. Steering is not very sharp, the vehicle is a bit long, and can feel like a boat for a 2dr coupe. Most important factors for me: It does the job - and it was great value for the money.

Much Better Than Expected! Worth the Drive. Purchased a 2014 Toyota Sienna I drove several hours to this dealership to check out a specific 2014 Toyota Sienna—and I’m really glad I did. My salesperson, Chris, was outstanding from start to finish. He was extremely responsive, easy to work with, and genuinely honest. He answered all of my questions quickly and clearly, and was very personable without being pushy. The car was exactly as described, and the buying process was smooth. A day after I brought the Sienna home, the check engine light came on. I was obviously concerned since the sale was already finalized, but Chris immediately told me to bring it back in. The dealership diagnosed it as a faulty sensor and replaced it on the spot with OEM parts at no cost. That kind of post-sale support is rare, and really impressed me—they stood by their product 100%. One thing to note: there are dealership fees totaling about $1,400, which in my case were not negotiable, HOWEVER, the fees do include services like LoJack protection and a paint/interior protectant, so there’s actual value provided—not just markup. Also, if you look at the bottom of the ad, the dealership does mention that they are included. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my experience. The car is running great, the team was professional, and Chris went above and beyond. My experience was much more positive than the online reviews led me to expect. I love my Solara convertible. No problems at all, ever. It rides like a Rolls Royce, has plenty of power, and the interior is as nice as a car that cost twice as much or more. The top goes down quietly and quickly and never leaks including air at high speeds. The ride is ultra quiet top up or down. All you hear are the tires on the road. Seats are super comfortable and hold you in place if you want to drive it like a sports car. You can manual shift the auto transmission but why bother? Great gas mileage. The exterior is the original paint and still looks brand new. Just a super high quality car. And this car is not small, having owned many other convertibles to me it is large. I would not sell my Solara Convertible at any price because it cannot be replaced. It is more Lexus than Toyota. Every little detail about the car spells luxury. Compass in the rear view mirror and a rear view mirror that tints itself at night when car lights behind you are too bright, then it goes back to normal after there are no lights? Seriously? This car will become a high priced classic.

When looking for a reasonably priced used cars I was so excited when I ran across 518 Auto Sales and the large selection of cars they had!!! The staff including Alex, Wendy, Kyle and Scott were awesome and made me feel right at home!! I will spread the word about this place!!!

Have had a number of Toyotas and Lexus in the family. My primary car is '08 Highlander Base w/170k on it, super clean and runs like a clock. Wanted something fun and after about 3-4 months found an '07 SLE convert., in white with tan leather. Think I got a good one with 74k, on it. No engine leaks, trans. leaks, just did front brakes and will do rears in the fall. Comfortable, quality, stylish. Power is its biggest shortfall, but more than adequate. Transmission is not aggressive, but silky smooth. A laid back touring car. Car needed a good cleaning in and out. Just completed clay bar, polish and wax with marine grade paste wax. Clean and waterproofed the top with 303. Will have a new set of Pirellis going on when I'm ready. I have about $12k into it at present and that should do it. I think it's true that the older cars were better made and with less gizmos to go wrong. Think it's a good value with many miles ahead of me.

I was hesitant visiting this Dealer W/ all of the negative reviews, however, they advertised a vehicle which 8 was interested in . The sales person assigned 2 me, Mrs. Anesthesia, was very friendly & extremely helpful, part of the 4 stars i gave them. Upon my request, the Dealer had a mechanic 2 run a diagnostic test 2 ensure there were no codes active( thank U). My 2 biggest complaints are: 1. They didn't detail or clean the vehicle 4 me. They said it would be detailed, however, it wasn't. 2. Most car Dealers will fill up the gas tank, & clean up the vehicle, while you are completing the sales paperwork. Victory Auto only filled up to a half of tank... The car runs good so far, & after I cleaned it up after driving home, the car is a very nice looking car... I'm not sure how, when, ir why all of the negative comments, but my experience, except for the gas & detailing, was quite pleasant.. Carter, J

Are you a retired Boomer/empty nester who wants a ride w/flair ,comfort and reliability? Then get a Solara with as low miles as you can find. Take good care of it and in a few years you'll be able to get more for it than you paid. Just bought a 2001 w/120K on it. Adult owned and well maintained. Put two tires on it and an oil change Then took two trips to Fla. (Tampa and Key West and back) Flawless performance .Excellent AC . Tough getting out of the back seat if you're not limber only complaint.Big trunk for lot of luggage or golf clubs. Full size spare too!.. They stopped makin' 'em so like the Mazda Miata NA/NB models they will hang on to their value as time goes by.. A good one to give to the grand kids for a college car.

My solara is a 2003 and has over 250,000 miles it has been so dependable no major issues I mean only your basics change oil and filters and little tune up and little hose replacements wear and tear stuff up Im in a very difficult situation on debating if I should trade up for a newer Camry my family says dont do it my gut says keep it as a spare car you can’t trust these newer cars . What do you think? I love my solara …. Excellent car

I have had my Solara for 5 years now and I absolutely love my car. She has get up and go! The only issues I have with the car is the chipping clear coat on the hood. And the dash is cracking. But both things are normal for the year make model. Mine is a 2004 Toyota Solara 3.3v6. She has 210500 miles and still runs perfect
