I served in the Army's esteemed 173rd Airborne Brigade based in Italy and Germany with more MoH (the Medals of Honor) than any other similarly brigade sized military unit of the Armed Forces of the United States of America (22 MoH to be exact due to fighting the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam War: "The Battle of Dak To" on "Hill 875"), as well as, loosing the highest number of Paratroopers (via combat related injuries and deaths) and earning the most categories of valorous awards during the "Global War on Terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have finally discovered the best vehicle Saleswoman in the entire Universe. Yanilda Lora's persona and superb communication made me feel like I was her only client. She stood by me from the start to the finish and kept reminding me that I will find the perfect new 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid, which I did. She went above and beyond in reaching out to me for anything I needed during the entire shopping experience. Her great attention to detail made sure that my specific sedan was a great fit for me. Leasing this car. Expected to wait a couple of months but received a notification that a car matching my specifications would be available the next week. The car met most of my requirements. The price of the lease was considerably more than I expected to pay but I agreed to the terms. Two months after taking possession of the vehicle, the brake actuator failed and I lost use of the vehicle for two weeks. Of course, the repair of the brake actuator was under warranty! The miles per gallon are what I have come to expect from a Toyota Corolla - better than 40 mpg on the freeway, a little less on surface streets. I replaced the standard interior rear view mirror with the one that has a built in Universal garage door opener because there was not a convenient place to mount the garage door opener that I had used with two previous Toyota Corolla leases. The thing I like about this 2022 Toyota Corolla: good gas mileage, bright headlights, good interior space. Things I do not like: cheap plastic rear trunk wing that broke in drive through car wash, black out lettering that standout on the greyish body color, unlit driver side lock/unlock buttons that are hard to locate in the dark when getting out of the car.

Initially I was apprehensive about getting a Toyota corolla because of the lack of power and handling, but after 12 years of ownership, I must say that the reliability and low cost of ownership more than make up for its lackluster performance which means more money in my pocket, and that's what count with todays economy.

I've owned several Corolla's before, and the 2023 XSE is the best one yet. The fit and finish of the exterior, and the design and materials of the interior are all high quality for a car in this price range. The overall drivability is excellent, and feels like a car that's much more expensive. I'm still not really a fan of the CVT transmission. When you go to accelerate quickly, the car seems to be sliding in between gears and never actually chooses one. But after reading the owners manual and learning to shift the gears manually, it allows the cars performance to really shine through. It has 10 gears in the Manual Mode, and it's actually pretty fun to shift with either the up & down shift paddles on the side of the steering wheel, or pushing the gear-select lever one at a time. Anyway - it was the only driving issue I had, and Toyota already had a solution. Overall, this new Corolla is the best value car I've ever owned.

Upon first impression I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. There was no receptionist and there was no organization as to who to speak to once I got there. But once I was placed with my sales manager Alex, the experience became a different story. He was helpful, professional, but very real. He didn’t xxxxxxxx, lie, or act like he knew things he didn’t, which I appreciate! Even though I was liking at a used Ford he didn’t try to sell me in something I didn’t want. He just gave his honest opinions and knowledge to help me make my decision. I didn’t buy right away, which was actually encouraged by him, to see the other vehicle I had in mind. Even gave me tips on what to look for when seeing other used vehicles, which was welcomed. After viewing the other vehicle and having the exact opposite experience with a local Ford dealer, I chose to go with car at Toyota of Hackensack even without an CPO certification, simply because I just trusted them more, they were upfront with all the costs. Alex didn’t try to slip anything by me when we sat down for pricing. The price was exactly what I expected to pay given the sticker price. I was assisted with getting a great rate on insurance by the dealership, and the finance guy Steve was just as helpful and easy to work with. They matched a finance rate I was approved for by another bank. Steve didn’t hard sell me on an extended warranty, but explained everything pretty well and gave me time to think and research. Overall I came away with a very good experience and so far, a great car. I would definitely recommend dealing with Alex and Steve at Toyota of Hackensack!

Decent but not outstanding. Had a problem with the passenger side motor mount causing a rattle that was fixed under warranty at the 5000 mi service. The part was backordered, so there are probably more than a few with this problem. A discoloration of the dash appeared by 2000 miles. Since it read "Toy" it was likely from the factory. There is still a small bubble in the rear window tint film. It drives well. I like the automation now that I'm used to it. It brakes too hard using adaptive cruise control when traffic slows down, but I guess the radar is doing as well as it can. It's not particularly comfortable, but Toyotas aren't known for that. Had to turn the driver's headrest around, as it pushes my head too far forward. I think that's required by law. The infotainment center works fine. They started using a new one after the 2024 debacle. I bought the car to keep it for a few hundred thousand miles. We'll see.

He was one of very few salespeople who provided us with a detailed breakdown of pricing and who didn't waste our time by promising things he couldn't actually deliver. We have no patience for bait and switch dealers. Jeff stayed in touch, let us know when a particular car in which we had an interest was actually on the lot and even stayed open on New Year's Day to enable us to see the vehicle in person. We asked for some consideration on one small add-on and he made that happen as well. The pricing was right, the trade-in offer was fair and it was a pleasure to work with a person who didn't "play games" but just delivered what was promised. This is my third Corolla. I thrashed the first one (1990) for 20 years after I bought it at three years old, and gave it to a family member at 200k. The second ('98) was given to me by a friend who had bought it for someone else who didn't pay for it. It was totaled at 178k miles, in nearly perfect condition. This one came from an estate of a fellow parishioner. He bought it in 2010. When he passed in 2022, it had 141k miles. After it sat for a year, I bought it. Although I've only put a few hundred miles on it, it impresses me with its solidity, pep, and crisp handling. Based on past experience, I expect to get at least another hundred thousand out of it. Based on my driving habits (>10k/year) and my age, it may be the last daily-driver I ever own. Interior is a bit cramped compared to the Sonata it replaces, but high quality and comfortable. The initial surge of acceleration is a little startling, but easily controllable with a light foot. Styling is nothing to write home about, but is acceptable. Paint is chipping on the hood and fading on the roof, but overall presents well from twenty feet. I would prefer the optional alloy wheels, but I may find a set over the years I expect to have with this car. The stock stereo was malfunctioning when I got it, but I upgraded to an aftermarket 2-DIN unit with rear-view camera. The stock six-speaker setup blends nicely with the new head unit. Neither the bodywork, or the undercarriage exhibit any signs of corrosion.

I talked to several people but we could not come to terms on the financing. Because of the mileage the bank would only do so many months. They also required that I have a 2 year maintenance warranty and gap insurance which drove the car payment way over the amount I was willing to spend. I was pre-approved on financing so it's now up to the dealer to negotiate a price we can both feel good about.
