If you're considering an FJ Cruiser: CHECK THE UNDERCARRIAGE! Frame rot is way more common than you think/know. Bought a 2008 2 years ago, still have 2 years payments left - garage informed me it will NEVER pass inspection again, frame is rusted beyond saving. Can't even sell for scrap/parts because the bank still holds the title. Shame, I love this car.

Bought mine in 2007 so its about 16yrs old. I said about 10yrs ago that i would buy a new car when it dies…we are at 375k miles and still going.

Tried to work a deal over the phone. Gentleman was nice, but really didn't want to deal. Wanted me to drive 2.5 hours to talk to him. Two days later they dropped the price of the Highlander when they wouldn't budge when I spoke with him. When he called me back the next day after speaking with him at first, I mentioned I was looking (not anywhere near buying) at another vehicle at another dealership closer to me. At that point he ended the call and I haven't heard back from him. Two weeks later and the vehicle is still on the lot or at least still on Cars.com. I thought about calling back, but I have lost interest in doing the dance. Again, nice guy, but just give me the bottom line and let's work a deal before I have to drive hours to get to see the car in person. I think he was held back by his sales manager from budging on any deal.

I'm a 2nd owner. I really like these fjs. I had a fj 40 back in early 70s and loved it. The fj40 was the toughest 4x4 by far. Im older now and this 2013 fj suits me much better. I love the reminders of the fj 40 with the comforts in the 2013 version. I wouldn't be afraid to take the newer fj to some of my old haunts in the mountains but Im not physically as able as the fj . I like the analog dials and minimal computerization of vehicle functions.

We stopped in to test drive the Rav 4 and within 15 minutes we were out on the road! Nick was fantastic start to finish in helping us acquire the proper insurance and banking documents that we needed to purchase the car. He was there at the end to congratulate us and send us on our way. 5 stars! The pick up process was excellent and exceeded our expectations. I love that Balise provided someone to talk us through the features of our vehicle before just letting us drive off to figure it out on our own. Nate was fantastic in doing this. Very calm and thorough. I did not feel rushed. He got my phone connected with apple play, which is super cool! He showed me how all that stuff worked and he answered all of my questions. After 10 years with my 2007 FJ in Voodoo blue, I decided to finally trade it in for a 2014 FJ Ultimate Edition this past week. I do not regret it one bit. Things I love about the Fj in general; - Incredible resale value (my 2007 was worth about as much after 10 years of owning) - with its 4WD, it turns a bad winter storm into a playground - reliability - unique and classic design - Its as long as a civic and wide as a corvette ******* 2007 Convenience Package 2 vs 2014 TTUE What are the biggest differences to me; - Heritage Blue paint with black accents + white grill - rearview camera - new rearview mirror with homelink - more sun visors - better sound system - different engine with more horsepower and takes regular gas - a bit higher since the TTUE has a raised front end compared to other models - steering is more compliant, almost like its steering radius has been shortened - Rarity - TTUE is only 1 of 2,500 sold I would recommend any model year of the FJ to anyone who is thinking about it.

Six speed manual transmission was a required mechanical aspect and this Toyota delivered what most other SUV’s with automatic transmissions cant. Highly recommended for the family off roader

By many standards this is NOT a good car. It has MASSIVE blind spots, questionable gas milage, and offers all the driving discomforts of a jeep wrangler. But what this vehicle has that a jeep wrangler hasn't had in decades is character. What a special little SUV this thing is. It has three windshield wipers, an almost completely waterproof interior, and unique retro styling. I just love the way both the interior and exterior look on this car. But the FJ Cruiser's unique features and characters aren't the only value it brings to the table. It of course demonstrates Toyotas famous reliability. This Car is almost indestructible. It also boasts and amazing off-road capability and ruggedness. Selling my FJ Cruiser was a MASSIVE mistake not only because of how much I miss it but also because they have almost doubled in value since I sold mine. I almost want to write an insanely negative review about the FJ in a feeble attempt to bring its value down so I can buy one again.

I bought my 07 FJ with 100k miles on it. Great drivetrain, and am looking forward to it performing in the mountains of PA this winter. Already looking for a second one. Only issue, there was strange frame rusting in front and rear but nothing that a few hundred $ couldn't fix. I've talked to people who can't believe that Toyota stopped making these beasts! Hahaha. I'm one of them.

I've owned many vehicles in my life, and the FJ Cruiser has been the most reliable, fun, and off-road capable vehicle amongst them all. Whether, the off-road comes to you: blizzard/snow, rain/floods, or you seek it in forests and trails, the FJ can handle it with ease. The rig is customization ready and the more modifications you do, the more capable the FJ will get. The performance of the FJ blows away rigs that cost 4 or 5 times as much. If you get a chance to buy this hard to find rig, jump on the opportunity, regardless of mileage. It's 4.0L V6, 5-Speed transmission are Toyota's most reliable and is also shared with the 4Runner. The body of the FJ shares a lot of components with the Land Cruiser and is built to last - 100% Japanese made.

Love my 2014 FJ! Observed them on the road like one of Pavlov's dogs. Panicked in January 2015 when I couldn't find one at my local car dealer. Called around Atlanta and found my desired 2014 sand color, 4WD, roof rack, tire cover and bought it on the spot. Last one this North Atlanta dealership had. Whew.

I had a fee Jeeps and loved them but honestly the newer ones I had with more bells and whistles the more I had issues. Yes, this is a given with more gadgets comes more problems but to have multiple issues from a quality and reliability standpoint and charging more is unacceptable. I decided to try my hand with Toyota and found a great deal on a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser. I'm old school and love the utilitarian style of it. No frills for the most part but modern day safety with Toyota reliability. So far I absolutely love this vehicle!!! Yes, gas mileage is about 16-17 average and it has blind spots that could hide an elephant. So what? This is a true SUV at heart and fits my needs to a T. My daughter lives the suicide doors and climbs in and out with ease. The look on her face when she rides in it is worth it no matter what! If she's a fan, I'm a fan. Bill J

Super solid Toyota FJ. 2007 w/ 88 K miles. Exterior paint great condition No rust issue despite a vehicle from the NE at 13 years. Interior seats and materials. Extremely durable and in great condition Drive. Solid feel with now vibrations through the steering wheel. New car solid Overall. Great vehicle

We had a great visit with Terry. We took a look at and sat in a really nice used Mini Cooper that he has for sale. The car was as advertised and the rest of his inventory was quite impressive; classics as well as fairly late model collectible machines.

This thing is bullet proof. Oil changes and 1 battery change in 9 years is all that has been required. Amazing reliability. Ride is much smoother than one would imagine and overall feeling of safety in it. Feels like a tank but has plenty of power when needed.

The overall dexterity and ruggedness says enough for me; then they are amazing built in extras! So fun to drive! They customizations your capable of doing to them as well is tremendous!

My FJ Cruiser is basically a second vehicle to use on the weekends in the mountains, and also an extra 4wd vehicle to have during the winter months. The one I purchased has every mod that I would have done myself. Lift kit, off road tires/rims, aftermarket stereo.

I like the FJ Cruiser because it allows more room in the back seat to get my grand kids in and out of vs. my Jeep Wrangler and also provides plenty of cargo space as well. The 4 wheel drive is also very important to me.
