Bought the '12 used with 30k miles on it 9 years ago. It now has 187k and is running great. Regular oil changes and typical maintenance, brakes, tires, etc. The AC did go last year and was fixed. Car is plenty cargo spacious and has been used to move many items, furniture, building materials etc. The only thing I'd like better from it is brighter headlights. If a HIghlander has been maintained I'd not hesitate to pick up a higher mileage used one and expect many more miles.

I have had my 2012 Highlander 7 months ago with 142k and we have put 9k miles on it. Bought it from the 1st owner that had dealer service on it. They had delt with the oil leaks around 60k with the dealer working on it 4 times before they got it fixed by dropping the motor and doing head gaskets on it the last time. Still no leaks. I had to do a few interior repairs like the radio volume control jumping, jut pull the knob off and spray a electrical cleaner in and protect the dash from it. And 1 of the trunk floor flaps was broken off, also easy fix, clean the throttle body and mass air flow, new air filter, then reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds so it can re learn the throttle body from the cleaning. I then drive to Florida and I got 25mpg with my SE, V6, 4X4. I have a bad back and 3 surgeries and this is 1 of the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven equal to my loaded Suburban, Tahoe, and Avalanches I have had. If I ever get rid of it it will be for another one.

I am the original owner of my 2004 Toyota Highlander purchased with 8 miles on it ( my test drive miles =))... it currently has 419,100 miles. Original engine, transmission etc... Some upkeep throughout the years... but She's still pushing and running smoothly. What's the saying " til the wheels fall off" which shouldn't be anytime soon because I just purchased new tires last year. =))). Best vehicle ever, very reliable, sturdy, and fun to drive....we have been through a lot.

I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. We have owned our Highlander since about 42K miles, it now has 136k. The car has been wonderfully reliable and the batteries (now 16 years old) seem to still be working quite well. We get about 25mpg, maybe one or two less than when we first got it. While maybe not sexy, the first-gen Highlander Hybrid is a super well-engineered car. Our years in this tight, quiet, comfortable, spacious vehicle have been great. Biggest problem is we can't find a modern car we like enough to replace it!

We bought our 2012 highlander in 2021 with 220,000 miles on it. After taking it on a couple of trips the alternator has failed but it was the original. This suv was great in the snow this past year and the ac on trips last year made a great people hauler for the family.

I traded in my 2016 RAV4 Limited for the Highlander XLE. Primarily for the ride. We had to give up some features such as seat positioning and closeness sensors available on the Rav4. The 2019 Highlander has a V6 that is well reported on and gives us the performance we need. Our ride has definitely improved on the Highlander.

I bought this car new in 2008. I have nothing bad to say except the paint start flaking after about 5 years. I should have taken to dealer over paint issue. My car only has 65,000 miles and paint is completely gone. I am in the process of a new paint job. Seems my issue was the clear coat in the paint. I have owned 6 other Toyotas, all bought new. This is only 1 with this issue!

Out of state buyer, so I had the BMW I was interested in sent to the BMW Dealership for a full inspection. They dropped of car as well as picked it up after the inspection. As you would expect the dealership was able to find some concerns. Tony and his team went out of their way to start fixing the issues. During this process I decided to go a different direction and not purchase the car. Tony was very gracious and said he would work on refunding my deposit immediately and hoped we could work together in the future.

2015 highlander limited. Its very smooth , the seat/mirror memory buttons are great , the auto high beams are awesome. Its easy to maintain, all the fluids and breaks etc are very easy to service right in the driveway. It has the 6 speed transmission that is known to be very reliable (unlike the 8spd trans that toyota came out with in 2017)

I found a really nice car. I was on the fence. I was taken out 4 a second test drive. Everyone was polite. I purchased the vehicle. We had a few hiccups, AK took care of them. I live in MD. It didnt pass inspection here due to the car having modifications. I have notified Prime. I am waiting to see how this plays out.

The Lemon Squad appraiser also took an extended test drive to ascertain how it drove and the reliable operation of all options such as windows, A/C, seat heaters, sun/moon roof, etc...

I had mine for two years before I rolled it (3 times and walked away with one scratch and a bruise) and I had to replace the timing belt once (still had the original on it). Replaced the alternator on it because I was slowly killing it with my system in it (cost 400 bucks maybe a little more and was easy enough to replace myself) I got up to 42 mpg on average when I drove mine. Would definitely buy again, only had issues with the rear suspension and alignment.

Matthew Ryan answered the phone when I called about a pre owned vehicle at the Audi dealership. There were complications with getting my husband in whose name we had a car loan to the dealership. Matthew brought the car to our home. We did all the paper work inside with the help of George Awad on the hot day. He returned to the dealership, got the VA plates and returned. My 2003 Highlander is now 20 years old and has been in our family the whole time. 260,000 Miles and this beautiful car runs like new. I love the power of the V6. I love the ride and the FWD does great in the mountains. I love the reliability. I love the tape deck! I frequently drive rental cars that are brand new that I don't like nearly as much as this 20 yr old Highlander. Amazing reliability and a joy to drive.
