I haven't had many car buying experiences so I was a bit nervous when I went to visit Darcars. However, once I met the salesman Moe Makadji, all my nerves went away. He listened to us and answered all of our questions with honestly. He really knows his stuff. He also wasn't afraid to admit when he didn't know something, but was quick to learn and find out the answer. Even though our dream car wasn't there the first day we visited, Moe kept in touch with me. A week later, he let me know they had another car that came in that was exactly what I wanted! I'd recommend Moe to anyone, he made the car buying experience enjoyable and easy.

I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. Everyone from the Sales-person, finance and even the Technicians. were friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. They even went above and beyond making sure I got the best loan that fit me. I love my highlander and just got back from Myrtle Beach SC, driving round trip. It is so fun to drive and all the room is unbelievable. I highly recommend both the highlander and Alton Toyota dealership!

I've had two excellent experiences with Shockley Honda when buying a car from them. The first was a little over a year ago and the second experience was last week. I found an excellent 2018 CR-V at a very reasonable price, but had a disabled trade-in over 65 miles away. Shockley not only gave me a fair amount for the trade-in, but also arranged to both deliver my "new" vehicle and pick up the "old" vehicle, saving me quite the effort to arrange things otherwise. My sales guy was Chris Collinson and handled everything from start to finish. There was no high-pressure sales or hidden add-ons. There was no pressure to use their financing when I told them I had my own. I appreciate the respectful way I was treated. It really seemed like I was his only customer that day when I knew I wasn't. Plus, it didn't stop there! Chris made the delivery from Frederick to Parkville himself and has followed up with me to make sure all is well and that I am happy with the car and his service. Large doors and front seats. Easy to get in and out. You have to pull past the protective bollard at the gas pump as to not ding the edge of the door. A lot of safety bells and whistles for an older car. Can tow with the best and high enough to take fishing and hunting. Good power. Feels safe in winter driving with in reason. If it gets icy or the snow gets over 5” I stay home. Operational noise is not annoying even when pulling into traffic or down shifting going up a steep hill. It gets almost 21 miles per gallon. I have no intention of spending thousands more on a vehicle to get better gas mileage. It’s paid off. I’m retired and put about 8000 miles a year on it. It still runs like new. I would love to keep it as long as I can. It also can haul pretty much everything I need.

This is my second Highlander. The first was a 2008 model and still in the family running great. This model has also served me well. I have 75,000 miles on it. I bought new tires at 60,000 and just had the battery replaced 3 weeks ago. The car runs great!

Zero problems in 8 years ownership. Very comfortable. Still looks brand new. My next car will definitely be another Highlander, perhaps a 2025 Highlander Hybrid.

Have had our 2023 Highlander XLE AWD since April 2023. Live in Chicago area and have driven to Arizona and Maine. Zero problems with the car. We put a large Thule box on the roof, multiple mountain bikes on a bike carrier and a kayak. Lots of luggage, got 27 miles per gallon on both trips. Plenty of power in the Rocky Mountains. Would recommend the car to others. We have a great Toyota dealership but all we have needed is schedule maintenance.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH SALES AND TRADE-IN TRANSACTIONS AT MARTINSBURG KENT PARSONS FORD!!

We switched from 4Runner to Highlander! Many years of Toyota loyalty in our family. Camrys to Tacoma’s we have had them all. I stole my wife’s 4Runner away from her and replaced it with a 2021 Highlander XSE. It’s been awesome. Bought it brand new. We just hit 65k. We drive from northern Idaho to Scottsdale Az all year and at anytime. Yes, anytime. AWD Snowmobile. It’s awesome in the snow! 22-28 MPG on the Hwy. For those worried about driving a wagon looking vessel around that does not have the great looks of the 4Runner? Don’t worry about it. The XSE has a great looking front end. The XSE Model handles great and boogies. Yes, it’s quick and drives like a sports car. Well, it handles well not quite a sports car. Don’t get the regular Highlander. XSE looks different, has the JBL stereo and drives great. AWD with a Snow Mode. Oh, and it had a third row for little ones. Reliability - been amazing. Zero issues.

I had a oil change and transmission check. The work was done quickly. The service lane assistant Alli Smith was very professional.All work was done well.

the car meets all my needs except the rear seat room is very difficult to get to plenty of storage room. great safety features. good gas mileage.

It has a lot of road noise and the low profile tires makes feel like you're running on flats you feel everything I'm not happy at all it's nothing like my 2015 highlander no compassion at all!

I want to provide some feedback on an awesome sales consultant (Berlin McKay). It has been about 9 years since I was looking at vehicles and really hated talking to sales personnel and being able to believe/trust them. BUT, I had the best experience while looking at different models of Toyota's. Berlin was patient, respectful and kind through the whole process. It's been a while since I've met such a genuine "Good Guy"! Berlin assisted me in the whole process and was patient even when I didn't have all the details, paperwork and answers. He assisted me with cleaning out my Highlander, no matter how long it took. I remembered: my Highlander's title was in my gun safe, no problem, right? I haven't accessed it for over a year. The lesson is: make sure the battery is changed out yearly! This whole process, experience impressed me and I would recommend Berlin and CMA Martinsburg to anyone. At this time, I really wanted to express the Sales Consultant knowledge with the business, product and paperwork was great! Everyone was awesome from the first visit to the end. I am enjoying my Tacoma TRD Sport!!! What a great experience!

We have the 2022 Limited edition. Love the heated and cooled leather seats, very comfortable. Overall vehicle is very quiet, except on concrete roadway surfaces. The rain sensing wipers don't function as well as the ones we had on our 2019 Rav4. I will say, the 3rd row seats are for young kids or very small flexible adults. Also, front doors need more of an arm rest higher up on the doors. The tri zone heat and cooling is great. I like how the adaptive cruise will even slow you down some when entering curves. The 11 speaker JBL sound system is very good. Overall, the negatives listed are fairly minor issues, because we really enjoy this vehicle and the features. I am disappointed that Toyota will not be offering the v-6 in 2023. I much prefer the smoothness and power and torque curve of the 6 versus the turbo 4. The 8 speed transmission is butter smooth, although the kickdown response could be improved. This is our 4th Toyota and will keep coming back because of the higher quality standards and overall reliability. Also, Toyota seems to listen to customers better and making adjustments or corrections better than a lot of the other auto makers.

We had a great experience at Darcars in Frederick. We came in looking to buy a low mileage used car. We had a Toyota Camry in mind and Moe Makadji showed us precisely what we were looking for. Moe showed us several available options and clearly explained pros and cons of each one. Once we chose one, he made a respectful but pressure free sales pitch for the services he thought were necessary. It was evident to us he was endeavoring to find what worked best for us. The financial aspect of the deal was also handled with the same level of professionalism. Miss Kelly Shields was respectful and knowledgeable. So far I love the vehicle! It is a luxury, quiet, smooth driving experience. A huge reason for choosing the Highlander was because of the Toyota reputation for quality, safety and reliability.

I bought a brand new Toyota Highlander platinum hybrid, 2022. I’ve owned Mercedes and a whole bunch of other cars but the noise from this literally hurts my ears. Really sucks because I wanted to keep this car forever but now I wanna get rid of it because the low bassy vibration is absolutely terrible. I have seen some people talking about a foot to radiator seal, hoping that might help. I want to fix this but its some serious xxxxxxxx. I like bass but this suckd toyota… 😢

I dropped my Nissan Rogue off for Services to Joseph Geisbert in Service Department. Vehicle needed a Transmission and the Door Fixed. My Vehicle was fixed and the price of repairs were great. I only trust Joe with my Vehicles and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Joe keeps me updated on the repairs and costs on the Rogue. Great Service from the Service Department. Luxurious is how I would describe this car! Smooth ride, efficient and a great looking vehicle! It has plenty of room and pretty cool features as well. I live this car and highly recommend it!

I would like to say this was my first car experience and it could not have been any better. Sade was awesome to work with. She knew what she was doing, she knew what I was looking for and worked to get that vehicle for me. I would recommend her. She is very motivated and you can tell she loves her job.

2015 highlander limited. Its very smooth , the seat/mirror memory buttons are great , the auto high beams are awesome. Its easy to maintain, all the fluids and breaks etc are very easy to service right in the driveway. It has the 6 speed transmission that is known to be very reliable (unlike the 8spd trans that toyota came out with in 2017)

I waited months, purposely, before writing this review. When I initially bought the car, I was scared because the reviews made it seem as if I made the worst mistake of my life. 6 months, 7000 miles later, the car running great. In the beginning, there was the weird shifting and lag but as time went on, around 5000 miles it had mostly smoothed out. After I took it for the TSB/Recall for a software update, it has been running perfectly since, no lag or strange shifting at all. I haven’t had any trouble otherwise. It’s roomy and comfortable for long trips. The third row is really for short trips(no more than 1hr 1/2) and for people 5’8 and under. The MPG excels on the highway especially on ECO mode with cruise control. I’ve gotten it as high as 33/34 mpg at 70mph on relatively flat land. In the city, it does terrible. I average around 17-19 even with slowly accelerations. My DTE is 290-310miles, 95% City driving. I’m sure those who use it on the highway will reach much higher. Despite the new 4 Cylinder Turbo, it has quite a bit of power and was able to take off very fast with a car loaded with adults (even in the third row). As of right now, the engine has been nothing but reliable. If anything changes, I’ll surely come back and edit this review. But for now, this 23 Highlander Limited Non-Hybrid, is a fantastic mid-size SUV and I recommend it now with the software update taking care of the shifting problem.

This car is like no other car I have driven. It is so smooth, very quiet, and very comfortable. Plenty of room sitting or cargo room

My mother recently rented this car for a family vacation to West Virginia and it was amazing! Excellent mileage for an SUV its size. Great performance. Tons of safety features (which is a VERY GOOD thing). Beautiful acceleration. The only problem we had was with the fact that the car will adjust the speed depending on the cars around it (or something like that), but it only happened when cruise control was on. It was overall a very nice car and we are actually planning on purchasing one soon.
