Used Toyota MR2 for sale near Ottawa, KS

I was glad to see the van, but when they said $282 monthly I said probably not.

My MR2 Spyder is the most exhilarating and fun car to drive. Reliable, head turner, classic. Fire Engine Red, I find the rear engine design awesome, and the acceleration and handling amazing.

My experience was excellent from the test drive. to the financing/purchase, right to the point of delivery. Pricing was reasonable too, and I felt like a valued customer every step of the way.

No issues, great mechanical condition. No dents no dings. Just need to free up some garage space. Garage kept. Interior is also in excellent condition.

I always wanted a Miata, but their interiors are so small, I am 6'2" and 235 lbs. I fit quite comfortably in my MR2 Spyder. With a 5 speeed manual and excellent mid engine handling, the car is a gas to drive. There is a real feeling of driving engagement. I am getting 31 mpg. Never had a problem. Toyota reliability. With such limited production lots of people have no idea what it is and I get questions. Yes, storage is pretty limited, but this wasn't made for family cross country treks. I purchased the car in April 2017 with 42k miles and now I have 50k with no problems.

Great fun to drive. Not at all practical. If you want a super reliable and economical convertable to have fun the Spyder is for you. 32 mpg at any speed. We love to take it to the mountains and enjoy the superb handling.

So, I've reached that age, and hairline where all good men decide to buy a roadster. I started my search with the MR2. After having a 4Runner (the mule) for many years, I am convinced that the Toyota reliability is no myth. However, I was tempted to go the Boxster, Z3, Z4 path. After having a Z4 fall off of the market before I could get out to see it, I began looking back at that MR2 that started my search. I called the owner, and arranged the test drive. Then I bought it on sight. Sure there are more powerful roadsters, but it isn't about that. It is about fun. This is one fun little car. It is remarkably comfortable as well. I'm not sure how, but the seats are road trip worthy, and leg room is ample. You don't feel confined. I will say that there is no dignified way of getting into or out of the vehicle. Then again, as a middle aged, bald, white guy - dignity isn't my first concern. Anyway, if you have the opportunity to buy one of these, you really should. It is just a fun piece of solid engineering.

I get great gas mileage. It handles great. I've owned it 6 years, I've had no issues with it. 2002 with 120,000. Miles and still going strong!

I love convertibles. There is something about being able to drive a car with the top down that just thrills me. My first convertible was a 1972 VW Karmen volkswagen super beetle. I loved that car. It was pure fun. My husband bought a Porsche Boxter a few years ago and that is a fun car as well. But it wasn't mine. I wanted my own convertible sports car. So I test drove a few, including a Solstice. I fell in love with the Toyota MR2. It just felt good to drive. It was like we belonged together. I bought it this past autumn and even got to put the top down a few times. I like driving it even with the top up. But I am really looking forward to spring and summer. It's not a car you want as an only driver as it doesn't have any cargo room really. I took the spare tire out so I can do small grocery shopping trips. This is my fun car. I still keep my Dodge Intrepid for road trips and bigger shopping trips. I'm happy with my little car. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun little car to drive. And it's a Toyota so it's very well made.

My wife and I were in the market to purchase my son a pre-owned jeep, and we wanted something that was already fixed up so we found TCD. They had a great selection to choose from. Once we arrived at the dealership you could tell that this was going to be different than any other car buying experience we've had. Jack was first to introduce himself. He was not a fast-talking silver tongue devil like a "like i probably was" stereotypical car salesman that you might be used to. He was a quiet young man that spoke at the right time and when it was necessary. He listens to our wants and needs and never asked us to remind him over and over! It was a subtle character quality that he possessed, and I didn't think too much about it while we were there, but it was a refreshing quality Jack was very knowledge about the vehicle as well. The vehicle we were interested in was a new trade in, so it wasn't quite ready, so I tell you this to say the way the dealership as a whole jumped in to help get the vehicle sales floor ready, was awesome! You could tell that this wasn't their first rodeo! Next was Tina the GM this gal was on top of her game. Very sweet and accommodating but you could tell on the other side of that coin was a savvy tough businesswoman that was going to be fair but by no means going to be taken advantage of! She settled my early onset buyer's remorse that i could feel brewing with transparency. Mo finished up our car deal and was also the finance guy! I loved that cause once we came to an agreement, we shook hand and started banging out paperwork! Mo was an awesome dude very knowledgeable with all the different extended warranties packages which i never did until we bought our last used vehicle and needed to use it on the way home from the dealer. We were in and out in no time. Lastly the Owner Austin! how cool is it for the owner of the dealership to make himself available to his customers. He personally helped my wife and I with whatever we needed or questions we had. It was nice not to have to wait for a salesman to run ask the manager a question then run back with and answer! By the time he got back I probably had 3 or 4 more question to send him running back with! lol Austin was personable and kind! Which was a breath of fresh air this day in time. This was also after the dealership had closed on a Sat night! A few things that are small but can make or break a car deal is that they had fresh free hotdogs cooking all day with 5 or 6 different flavors of soda pop obviously coffee with one of those fancy coffee makes with different flavors of coffee and cappuccino, clean bathrooms and something as a parent and someone that used to sale cars they had a nice selection of boys and girls toys! if you've ever tried to purchase a car with a bored toddler forget about it! the salesman can feel the words we're going to have to come back without the kids. that's how the dealership down the street with toys just made your customer their latest car buyer! Shout out to Scot and Bryan as well! They weren't involved in my car deal but did a good job at making us feel welcome and at ease! Sorry about them Aggie's buddy! This is my 4th Mr2. I absolutely love this automobile! I wouldn't purchase any other. It handles better than any other car that I have driven. I don't understand why Toyota stopped making them.

Driving an MR2 is like floating down the road. Great rally car or just a cruise. Wonderful for summer nights & drive in burger joints

The car is equipped with drains in the storage area behind the seats. Once these get clogged, water will pool there. Toyota does not mention these drains or how to clear them in the Owners Manual. These are pretty easy to clear once you know how. Research this on Spyderchat.

So fun! Avoid early models with big problem on cats. I learned the hard way as my engine was scrap as sold from a Toyota dealer in Northern MI. SHAME on you Serra Toyota! Good news. add 2zz-ge engine and C-60 transmission and this car is a completely different machine! Mr. P

It's not the fastest, or the most luxurious, but a 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder is a rear engine RWD headturner, that is a joy to drive, especially curvy or mountain roads. Most people dont know what it is, but they sure like it. Storage is minimal behind the two seats. Remove the spare tire to get a little more. Pack light, Get the top down, Hit the road, and Enjoy.

This car is super fun! Love the styling. Very Comfortable for even taller people. It sits low and hugs the road. A/C is nice with the top down. Wind screen is nice to keep the wind out of the interior. Nice locking space behind the seats. Fits a few groceries. Stereo radio/ CD works well.

Only drive this car for fun on a sunny day. Short road trips are best due to the stiff suspension. Rides and handles like a go cart due to transverse mid engine design. 6 speed SMT (sequential manual transmission) is unique in a street car. It is an automated manual transmission. Lift off the gas, bump the shift lever up or down to shift gears, foot back on gas. When you come to a stop automatically shifts into 1st gear. Unique exterior styling, some like it some don't. Very limited luggage space in front trunk and behind the seats. Standard with a soft top only. Fun sporty car with Toyota reliability.

Was in and out. Trey Fant helped me from the second I hopped out of my trade in at 6pm. Got home for dinner in time.
