I'm compelled to share my good experience at this Carmax dealership. I ordered my car from their Fayetteville store with a free transfer. They kept me informed through text and email of the transfer status. I could have waited for a call but since I knew it arrived I called to schedule a test drive. I had applied online for financing and was approved with little detail but when I called to see if they would transfer to Fayetteville they asked similar questions and got the finalized approval. The salesman on the phone had an instant approval with 3 term options and the corresponding interest rate. He told me what the payment would be. In the end the payment was exactly as they quoted by phone. I expected to be in and out but spent 4 hours there. That probably wasn't normal though. The salesman Bob and I talked too much and he messed up our address in the computer. It happens. The other slowdown was the slight difference between the drivers license name and the credit app name. Oddly enough those small mistakes cost us an extra hour and a half. It happens. Meanwhile during the test drive I noticed a vibration on the highway over 60mph. They decided to have it looked at while we were there and rebalance the tires as well as resurfacing the front rotors. I was honestly surprised that they did the rotors. I didnt mention anything about them. I thought it was just the tires. In the end the vehicle took longer than the purchase process. It was quite an operation they had. They've really streamlined their processes. The financing, trade-in process, transfer process, detailing process, service process etc. Were really wild to see in action. The things I loved: The approval and disclosure process of financing. The transfer process. The minimization of paperwork. The teamwork process of communication. The dealership itself. The cars are all open to look in and sit in without a need for a salesman to get keys. No need for proof of income with fair to less than fair credit. Free coffee and bottled water. Fixing issues on the car while we complete the purchase and paperwork. The cons: small mistakes made very long wait. I'm quicker than them at moving the process forward. No negotiation price is a little high. Tips: as with everything in life do your due diligence. Inspect the car thoroughly. Utilize their carfax and recall information. Consider selling your car elsewhere for more money if you paid off your trade. Push along the process if you want it to go faster. Dont buy their gap insurance. Its overpriced and negates a good deal. Consider an outside warranty company for a better price. Realize a well placed call will hurry the process and verify what one person told you as being true. Place a hold on a vehicle you like for 7 days for free. Apply online to streamline the process.

So far, an excellent experience. Just shy of 500 miles, and everything is as expected or better. This is my 5th Tundra and ranks in the top 2. Better gas milage, more power. Wonderful additional storage, with the rear under seat storage and ability to store items behind the seat. This was a key reason for going with the non-hybrid engine. Had the hybrid mileage been better, I may have chosen the hybrid and lived without the storage. Sleek styling and an improved ride with the new rear suspension. I am very pleased with this truck.

The truck is designed with the best quality and engineering I've ever experienced with any other truck brand. Beautiful design inside and out. It drives like a charm. The wheels steer like a sedan. I won't buy any other car other than a Tundra in the future.

I bought a used Ridgeline from Mark Jacobson Toyota (Pre-owned) in Durham. There was a small problem with a crack in the molding in a rear wheel well. I bought the car with the understanding that they would fix it and had it noted on the paperwork. Long story short, there was a significant underlying issue with the bumper hidden from view. Evidently it had a small dent that meant the new molding would not have fit perfectly. They could have slapped the new molding on it and called it a day but they said "they wanted to do it right" and sent it off to the body shop to get a complete bumper replacement per the Honda Dealerships recommendation. Ramzi (car salesman) kept me in the loop the entire time. I never had to chase anyone for them to honor the agreement. Picked the car up today and it looks brand new. Rare to find honorable people in the car business. If you need a used car, give Ramzi a call.

Great truck! Superior power sleek design. Gas mileage is no where near as advertised 17 mpg they say 23 complete lie. Love the laptop interior design is great.

This is my fifth tundra and it is by far the most comfortable and best driving one yet! I love all the new safety features and small changes they’ve made like the easy to drop Tailgate. But by far the best part of this most recent buying experience was the dealership. 802 Toyota was the best experience I’ve ever had buying a new car. Friendly and knowledgeable and reliable, just the best!

I have a 2013 Toyota Tundra Limited Crewmax 5.7L V8 FFV 4x4. My truck has all the bells and whistles that I need (4 wheel drive, leather seats, heated seats, towing package, duel climate control, TRD off-road package, moon roof, etc). But it is also a very expensive truck. I bought the truck in 2022 for $27,500. It had 119,000 miles on it at the time. The interior with the limited package is nice to me, and doesn’t look out of date. The exterior also looks good to me. This truck so far has been incredibly reliable. I have not had a single issue with the truck. I really believe that this truck will last 300,000 miles. The performance of the truck is great as well. The 5.7L V8 gives you 381 horsepower. That is plenty enough for me. But the truck is not perfect. The only issues for me are 1. Fuel Economy 2. Rough Ride 3. Parking. This truck is a gas guzzler! I have 35 inch mud tires on my truck. It averages about 10-11 mpg combined. The truck also rides very rough (the mud tires on my truck probably make it worse). The truck is hard to park due to its size as well. Overall I would give the truck 4 out of 5 stars. I’ve gotten used to the rough ride and parking, but the low fuel economy really eats away at my wallet. But this truck lasts much longer on average than other trucks. It also holds its value much better than other trucks (at 9 years old with 119,000 miles it was still worth $27,500). If you can get past the poor fuel economy, then I think that you will really enjoy this truck. And if you take care of it, it should last you at least 250,000 miles.

I’ve had no issues with the truck. The interior is nice. Good sound system and comfortable seats. The gas mileage isn’t too bad in my experience. I’m at and average of 17mpg and I drive it in an area with heavy traffic.

This is a big truck and it rides like a truck. It is spacious... especially the back seat. The V8 is nice one thing that appeals to me. My truck currently has around 48 thousand miles on it. I've had to replace the starter and a relay switch for the A/C. I've owned a lot of Toyotas over the years. This is the first one I've owned that needed more than just regular maintenance. While I would recommend it I'm not convinced it is a better value then a Ford or GMC as I once felt.

Toyota might be behind on tech, but they’re reliable and for a work truck that’s all I need. Yeah it’s bad on fuel, yeah it’s not buttery smooth ride quality. However, all I need is for it to start in the morning and get me to all my job sites carrying a load of people and all my gear. Perfect vehicle!

Metric has some top of the line cars on their lot.I did my research through CarMax and choose to get the Lexus from Metric, and was approved in just a little time. The Tundra has been a great truck. I currently have 162K miles, and it runs great. I maintain the vehicle exactly as per factory recommendations, and Toyota of Lancaster (CA) does all my maintenance. The only problem is the cheap two-piece OEM lug nuts that Toyota builds the truck with. The lug nuts appear to be nice, big, shiny, solid, heavy-duty lug nuts; however, they are actually comprised of a small, unattractive core (the actual lug nut) to which Toyota adds a nice big shiny-bright 'chrome' cheap sheet metal cover (the fake "heavy-duty" lug nut). At approx. 150K miles, the cheap sheet metal cover - having been beaten up by the Toyota Service Dept torque wrenches every 5K when I have the tire/wheels rotated - are battered at the corners and won't accept a standard socket. The Toyota of Lancaster (CA) Service Dept then told me that they could not rotate my wheels/tires because the "lug nuts are swollen" and they cannot remove/replace the lug nuts. When - in disbelief - I stated that I doubted that was the case and asked what could possibly cause lug nuts to "swell", the service rep told me (with a straight face) that sun, water, dirt, mileage, etc., all contribute to lug nut "swelling." I then stated that if my lug nuts are damaged, then Toyota's Service Dept and their careless use of impact wrenches are to blame as they are the only ones removing/replacing the wheels/tires. When I asked how much to replace the "swollen lug nuts", I was quoted "$492.50". I refused to pay that ridiculous sum and left the dealership. I then checked online and found that the OEM lug nuts that Toyota (along with Ford and Chevy) build their trucks with are the cheap, two-piece lug nuts that easily get beaten up by impact wrenches "battering" the corners. I found that I could purchase a new 'OEM' after-market set of the two-piece lug nuts online for around $31, but I decided to purchase a quality set of solid lug nuts for $105, along with a set of 'flip sockets' to use to wrench-off (using a breaker bar, and not an impact wrench) damaged nuts without rounding-off the corners. I removed (and retained, hopefully as evidence for a class action suit against Toyota and Toyota dealers) the battered OEM lug nuts and replaced them with the new solid, one-piece lug nuts and hand-torqued them to 97 ft-lbs. Think about it - Toyota sells millions of trucks and if they all end up with "swollen" lug nuts at around 150K miles (assuming wheel/tire rotations at 5K intervals), then Toyota and the Toyota dealers end up making millions of dollars by replacing a set of twenty cheap, two-piece lug nuts with another set of twenty cheap, two-piece lug nuts, at $492.50 a pop!!! So while my Tundra has otherwise been (and remains) a great truck, Toyota's use of cheap, two-piece junk OEM lug nuts combined with Toyota dealerships charging $492.50 to R&R the OEM set with another cheap OEM set, has left me pissed off at Toyota and Toyota of Lancaster (CA).

Runs well nice ride i have the 1794 edition and it is the best truck i have owned. my favorite is driving it on road and off it handles well and i feel secure.

I love my Tundra which I have owned for 12 years and over 100,000 miles (now at 155,000 +). I just spent $2650 to get the frame repaired from corrosion. The area just forward of the leaf spring mounting has a plate mounted on the inside with rivets holding it to the main portion of the frame. This creates a space where water can remain and cause corrosion. My truck is babied and garage kept and still suffered this issue. I am an engineer and consider this issue a design problem. Toyoto should be ashamed of themselves. When I contacted them they refused to help because 10 years ago they recalled the truck, inspected it and recoated the problem areas. They should have advised owners to check, clean up and recoat this area yearly.

It’s crazy how things work but I need to get me a car asap I google Wholesale Motors. I got there 2 hours before closing and Will help me out a lot. Once again this was a last min thing. I was kinda down and out cause of my credit in the past but Will and Rick help me out and I drove off the lot with a vehicle. Will did awesome job for helping finance that work out with me and I good vehicle for me and my loved ones to love. The flex is a great choice

I have owned this truck since new. I have a little over 82K miles (I use a company assigned work truck for about 75% of the time I’ve owned my Tundra), therefore the relatively low mileage. I have a CM and the cab is super roomy. I recently upgraded the radio which in my opinion was probably an outdated system from the start. I tow a camping trailer a few times a year and do so very well, plenty of power. Have pulled the camper through smoky mountains with no issues. I’ve done several interstate trips and enjoy the comfort of the cab. I don’t see myself ever getting rid of this truck at all.

Purchased the 08 tundra 8 years ago with 141k miles. Sitting at 243k now and it still drives the same as when I bought it. Other than maintenance & the things I wanted to add the Only thing I’ve replaced is the ac pump. For a half ton pickup I wouldn’t go with any other make. Would take it anywhere…tows and drives great while it still looks good going down the road!

Having purchased only new vehicles my entire life, I found myself in need of buying my girlfriend a certified used vehicle from a local Honda dealership. After the salesman ignored our desires and instead try to upsell us, however, we decided to try Carmax instead. From the start, Carmax offered a helpful hand online and friendly service over the phone: they were quickly able to find what we needed and provide attractive financing in a flash. (Thanks to you, Lesly.) Moreover, I found scheduling of a meeting to finish the deal at the dealership efficient. Once at the dealership, Haseam did well in helping us -- his knowledge and friendliness were impressive, especially since I havevworked in the service industry for many years . Because he did not try to upsell us, but rather did his best to educate us on what would work well, (coming in on his day-off to finalize the deal), I must commend Carmax and its associates for providing a memorable experience. Although I love this vehicle, I am a bit put out with Toyota in general, because of the lack of fobs, and I have been talking to everyone at the dealership and with Toyota corporate office, and there has been no answer as to why I cannot get the second fob which I am entitled to. I spent enough money on this vehicle so in theory, I should have everything in place including two fobs. Is anyone else in experiencing this issue? I am reading that the supply chain on this item has open back up, but when I go to the dealership and give them my Vin number, they don’t even have it on the recall, which is what you have to have. Apparently this week will be under to even anticipate receiving your Second fob. All I can say is, shame on you, Toyota!
