So I brought my Acura MDX in for service. They refused to wash because I complained about the paint and their terrible service. Can’t believe it.

I’ve bought every car I’ve owned from King Acura since moving to Birmingham in 1993. For the past two years I’ve been amazed at how ABYSMAL their service department has been both in terms of servicing my car and customer service. Just to name a few examples: 1) my last service visit, King Acura said my brake pads were metal on metal. But they couldn’t fit me in for 2weeks. So I took it to Rob’e Mans that very day and they replaced brake pads AND pointed out several other problems that King Acura had failed to uncover. 2) Honda Motors sent a recall notice for a fuel injector directing me to contact my local dealership. When I called King Acura two weeks ago, they said they wouldn’t have the part for 2 weeks. I called yesterday and they said it would be May 2025 before they could replace the part. I asked to speak to a manager…they transferred the call to a line that rang for 2 minutes before a recorded message said to leave a message. For the FOURTH time in six months, no one has returned my call. 3) After returning home from a service visit 1 year ago, I noticed a yellow circle on one of my tires. They had circled a nail that was in the tire, but failed to tell me about it. 4) when I picked up my car from a service visit 18 months ago, my key fob was missing. They insisted I hadn’t left the key fob with the car. Perhaps most exasperating of all is the fact that they DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS!!!

I just purchased a used 2017 Acura MDX with tech package
I just purchased a used 2017 Acura MDX with tech package which has 97,000 miles. I wanted to replace my Honda Odyssey but so far the Odyssey is the better vehicle. Handling and engine performance are very good but I'm hearing a rattling noise in the carriage on certain roads and the navigation system is poor and requires a $250.00 upgrade. 2017s do not allow connection to android auto and google maps. AC compressor I assume is making a rattling noise when first starting. Changing timing belt is recommended at 100,000 miles and that is $1,400.00. Struts and shocks are recommended for changing between 50 and 100 thousand miles and that is another $1,200.00. Middle console is falling apart but other than that interior seems in good shape. If I had it to do over again I'd not buy this vehicle. Too many unknows costing big bucks. - Does not recommend

MDX SUv
My first MDX, absolutely love it. Gas mileage could be better in town, highway is good. I would buy the 4 seater next time not the 3 roll seat. Safety features are awesome! So many unexpected standard features. Safety features were my main concern as I have a 20 year neck injury. MDX filled all my safety issues. Honda is well made and ahead of their time. - Purchased a New car

Acura MDX Fan
I sold my 2004 ACURA MDX with 304,300 miles and purchased a used 2017 ACURA MDX with 95,000. So far I love this car. I am a Honda/Acura fan. First Honda had 325,000 until family member totaled it so purchased the 2004 MDX. I love MDX. The only thing I would change would have the seat pan in both the front and middle row a little deeper. It is not a deal breaker though. - Purchased a Used car

Reliable, great service from a solid company
This car is great, dependable, a little luxury without being a snob. High quality level. A couple rattles were fixed with no complaints. I will say it occasionally has a 'hesitation' in the transmission on a cold motor, but it would not keep me from buying Acura again. - Purchased a New car

Problems with it after four thousand miles.
Piece of garbage Rear differential went after four thousand miles. Would never buy another one. Transmission had to be replaced after 48000. Costly repairs, not worth it. Awd problems - Purchased a Used car

Beautiful interior
I test drove a black Acura MDX with the Technology and feel in love with the car. The car drove wonderful and I hope that I can find a white MDX with the Technology or Advance package. That's my goal. - Purchased a Used car
