Well, my 2024 Canyon was a success, and at 9K miles, I traded it. And I ended up with a 2025 Canyon that was a dud. Frankly, I was under the impression that the Canyon was the ONLY truck with the extra legroom. Why? The specs show it to be that way. But the Tacoma, well it has the SAME front legroom. And had I known that, I don't think I would have bought the Canyon to begin with. Why? The Canyon is nice, but it's expensive. And yes, it can tow alot and has alot of horsepower, but that doesn't do anything for me cause I don't tow or drive like a race car driver. The things that mattered to me, things that were annoying, were things like a lack of a lightswitch vs. using the touchscreen. And the fact that it sits so doggone high and the roofline cut low, it was tricky to get into for a bigger fella. But the biggest concern is the lack of GMC service and support. To get it in for service that it needed for a dead battery at 4 months, and jumping it enough times it would not jump start any longer, I had to replace the battery myself out of pocket or pay for a rental out of pocket. See, there are so many GMC products in for problems, there are no dealer loaners. And while GM might pay you back for a rental but only if the rental is a GM vehicle. All GM rentals were on long term rental at three local rental locations (the big 3) because they too were rented to GM customers waiting on long term repairs. Sadly, with the lack of service dealers nearby that could handle my situation, and the lack of support from GM about the rental situation, I changed the battery and traded it in on a Tacoma that DOES have the front legroom you might know it has. The re-design is the best, the dead pedal is out far enough and more like the 45" if you don't carry anyone in the back seat, same as the Canyon.

So far I have been enjoying my 2025 GMC Canyon Denali. It has a great ride and is very comfortable. The Canyon drives very nicely and has plenty of power for my usage (I don't tow anything). It tracks well and has a very smooth ride that rivals previous BMWs (328 and X5's). I have had zero issues but the vehicle is only 1.5 months old (approx 1,700 miles on it). THe only downside (which many people agree on) is that it is seriously lacking storage space. Center console storage is about 1/2 what it was in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler and under seat storage (rear seats) is almost useless ..very little space. That being said, I'd still recommend the GMC Canyon and hope it continues to impress me.

This is a great truck. It is peppy and well designed. The electronics take some getting used to. The storage inside the tailgate is brilliant. There appears to be a lack of some desired features in the models. Some things should be in the mid range model and they are not. There is no place to mount any radio equipment for GMRS or HAM and there is a lack of 12 volt power sources, Also there is no 4x4 low range in these. I never had to use it much in other 4x4's but it was present, I am not a fan of the online manuals. If you need to look something up, you better have a laptop with you. 2 things concern me; one is YEARLY oil changes the other is the lack of division between models in operations description of features in the manual. There is also a visible seam in the bed were it is welded during manufacturing, Looks like a three year old did it.
