Owns this car

Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

I purchased this car in late 2014, so I’ve had it for 10 years now. It has been one issue after another over the years. The oil was running low, which is apparently a common problem with this model. They replaced the engine. A few years later, the same thing happened, so they replaced the engine again. Thankfully, it was still under warranty both times. There have been a number of other problems, and now it needs $4,000 in repairs. It has been one thing after another with this car!

Dangerous and high maintenance.

Used to own this car

Dangerous and high maintenance. Had tons of issues which started before the car was even a year. Vibrating floor and pedals, vehicle shook over 68 mph, and dangerous intermittent surging and hesitation. Additionally, brakes, rotors and tires had to be changed about every 20,000-25,000 miles which is abnormal. Car also handled horribly in the snow (even when using GOOD tires). Subaru claimed issues were normal or they were unable to reproduce.
