It’s 2005, 2WD, and currently has ~216k miles. I am the second owner, purchased at 107k in 2017. I just recently replaced the upper control arms (including ball joints) and sway bar links. A shop recently did alignment, new caliper and rotor on the driver side and new brake pads on both fronts. I plan on replacing the transmission fluid before letting it go. Absolutely NO RUST except on aftermarket tailpipe that previous owner had installed (see picture, I suspect it just wasn't painted correctly). It has a 2.5/1.5” spacer lift kit I installed myself. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it to Oregon tomorrow. The big thing with this 4Runner is the cosmetics. The clear coat on the hood and roof, as well as other horizontal surfaces, is either coming off or completely gone. The interior is still in really great shape. It even has a third row seat option, and I added heated seat pads not too long ago. The only mechanical issue I am aware of is the inner (and probably outer) tie rods needs to be replaced. I don’t feel anything while driving but I noticed the boot is leaking fluid. I still have the original third row seats, running boards, mud flaps, and a replacement land cruiser style grille that says "TOYOTA" with raptor lights.

2005 Toyota 4Runner Limited V8… Purchased as new from dealer in Ohio in 2005. Currently has 200,000 miles on odometer. Enjoyed every mile! Due to Ohio winters and salty roads - the suspension has been replaced, section of frame replaced, wheels pitted. Will be due for another timing belt change (expensive due to complexity). Excellently maintained by a local Toyota mechanic. It is my hope that this vehicle will last another 200,000 miles. The only negative is the 18mpg around town.

2005 4Runner going strong

I have a 2005 Toyota 4Runner with over 428,000 and she's still going strong and rides as smooth as the day I brought her home from the dealer. She still has her original transmission and engine. I'm hoping to make it to 500,000 later this year.

i OWN A 2995 4RUNNER v6 FROM NEW. I have a little over 200,000 miles. Runs and starts great. Replaced 4 starters in 17 years of ownership for approx. $100 a starter. Not a big issue IMO.
