My wife bought this car new in June 24, and already the engine light has come on. The dealer was able to read the code, but unable to diagnose the problem, and just said to hope it doesn’t come back. The size of the vehicle is really good, especially compared to the previous model, and has decent visibility all the way around. Room for cargo is excellent for this SUV category. On the interior, it’s roomy, but not what one would call luxurious. The Info/information screen is clunky, and being a touch screen creates a safety risk when driving and having to try and look for where to touch for a particular feature. For a Bose 12 speaker system, the sound system is anemic, and has no spatial control; so, unless it’s in the mix, the sound is very dry, with no sound staging capabilities. It is very mono-channel sounding. My stock 2012 Scion has a much more capable and better sounding audio system. The exterior looks more truck like, which is appealing in my opinion. It came with a few factory dings, and a chip all the way to the primer caused by the dealer, who did not offer to fix them - Everett, Little Rock, Ar. The paint is ultra thin just like on my Scion, so prepare to purchase a few touch up pens to try and keep rust at bay, and the vehicle lookin sharp. Performance wise, being a four-cylinder it requires revving up to 4000 RPM before you reach maximum torque. A six cylinder Mazda CX 90 reaches the same level of torque at around 2000-2500 RPM. Even with the supposedly active noise cancellation of the drivetrain and motor, it still makes its way into the cabin. The four cylinders are just not as smooth running as the six cylinders. Hopefully in future years, they’ll go back to offering a six cylinder in this vehicle. we definitely won’t buying a 2025 version, as the available features and amenities are absolutely the same, but Jim has repackage the options so that you have to say acquire a sunroof so that you can get the luxury package. So that increases the price by 1700 compared to the 2024 in order to get what is fairly standard on other manufacturers SUVs at this price point. All wheel drive is also considered a luxury in the GMC Acadia, where it’s standard for most other manufacturers offering similar vehicles.

The vehicle looks great on the outside and the interior is very refined. However, there is a terrible rattling noise already (it's brand new) in the headliner that could drive someone crazy. The main issue with this vehicle is the engine. GM made a huge mistake with this whiny 4 cylinder engine is such a heavy vehicle. It sounds terrible when accelerating, like it's going to blow up. They claim 320+ horsepower, but it sure doesn't feel like it when driving. Overall, this vehicle, while pretty to look at, has nothing under the hood and is way too expensive for what you get.
