The 2000 Focus is the first and only car that I bought brand new, and I just had her towed away to the junk yard a month ago while I literally stood in the garage with tears in my eyes. In between ... 426,606 miles! Had my first mechanical issue (broken belt) at more than 250,000 miles, and few few issues after that. Only after it approached 400,000 miles did it start to nickle and dime me with little things. She was the most trouble-free car I ever owned, plus fun and economical to drive. I loved her!

I have had my 2000 focus about 3 years now. I live in hawaii and most cars are all rust at 20 years old. This one no rust and great paint. Got it for$300 and have driven it very hard off road even. Haven't had a prob except the back windows dont work.

This car can handle a lot more miles. It always wants to go. More room on the inside than one would think. Excellent on gas milage. Has roof rack for luggage or skiis.
