Seller's notes
- Cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls. Set it and forget it. Road trips used to be stressful, until cruise control set the pace. Simply set the desired speed using the steering wheel mounted controls and it will maintain that speed without driver intervention. This can help minimize driver fatigue and improve overall fuel economy. Resting your right foot is right at your fingertips thanks to cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls.
- Variable valve timing - Change your output. There are a lot of variables in your drive, so why should your engine always operate the same? With variable valve timing, the engine is efficient at both low and high RPM's, so you get better fuel efficiency, cleaner emissions and improved performance. Variable valve timing provides a better drive, every time.
- Ignition immobilizer - Theft is a non-starter. You can feel more secure about your vehicle being there when you come back. Ignition immobilizer is a passive security system consisting of a transmitter in the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. If both are not present or do not recognize each other, the vehicle will not start. Ignition immobilizer a sure-fire way to prevent the theft of your vehicle.
- Digital/analog instrumentation - A dashboard revolution - Get the nostalgia of traditional and the accuracy of the modern with digital/analog instrumentation. Combining analog style with digital gives you the best of both worlds. We love our technology, but there's nothing quite like burying the needle. That's why there's digital/analog instrumentation.
- Manual rear child safety door locks - Keep it all inside. Manual rear child safety locks help prevent a kid's fidgets from becoming a big problem. Because if kids can touch it, they want to play with it, and that includes door handles and locks. When enabled, the safety locks stop the doors from being opened from the inside. Manual rear child safety door locks replace mistakes with peace of mind.

237,000 miles and counting
This car replaced my 1993 Civic when the corrosion of the midwest did in the suspension, which was not worth repairing on on a car with 279,000 miles. Now my current Civic was approaching this benchmark fast befor Covid. It had some big shows to fill and easily did so. No problems, and it has been beat to crap. This is city driving, so the engine hours are through the roof. Average maybe 20mph thoughtour it’s life. Did need it’s starter replaced once, although this was less expensive than the old timing belt tuneup on the 93. There was an issue with thinning paint on trunk and the car has been hit with enough rocks and when parked that she is far from pristine. I vouch for the safety as this is the insurance replacement of one that got totaled with 60 miles on it back in 09, a roll over. Run off road by semi whose brakes failed. I find the car quite comfortable for commuting purposes and the AC still works. It’s a DX-VP, so she’s awfully spartan by modern standards. Now that I work from home, the miles are coming slower. I assume a better conditioned one with low miles would hold its resale value pretty well. I’d like to justify getting a new car to scoot around town but it’s impossible to justify. - Purchased a New car

The exterior paint is horrific
I will not buy another Honda. This is my third car and it is the second with very bad exterior paint. The clear coat has pealed and it looks like the car has been out in the sun too long. The trim has deteriorated and pealed away. This car only had 65,000 miles on it and so far there have bee 4 recalls. The transmission went bad just after the warranty expired. This is not the quality I expected. - Purchased a New car

Decent, reliable car
I always complained about my Civic not being a coupe, but the number of doors aside, this car served me well for the whole five years I had it. It never had any issues beyond typical wear and tear - needed new brake pads, a new muffler, a new tire, and a new battery during that time and that was all aside from typical maintenance like oil changes. Aside from that, it got decent mileage, ran nicely, and has a pretty nice stereo system. The paint is pretty crummy and dents/chips easily, so expect to amass a nice collection of little scuffs. The only reason I no longer have my Civic is because I hit a deer with it and my insurance said the repairs would cost about as much as the worth of the car. But man, I sure was proud of my car! I hit that deer at 60mph and it kept right on going! Didn't even notice a change in the way the car handled or anything and it drove beautifully for several miles as I tried to find someplace with lights to wait for a tow truck. I'd definitely recommend a Civic. It's reliable, it's safe, it gets pretty good mileage, it's comfy, and it's got enough space in front, in back and in the trunk. And for those of us who are lazy, it's got a remote start so you can defrost your windshield without leaving the house. - Purchased a Used car

Reliable. Easy on gas. Air conditioning avg
I have owned this civic since purchasing it new. It has been very reliable for the most part. Just routine repairs but I have spent quite a bit in air conditioning issues. It does not get as cold as other cars I have owned. It gets great gas mileage. It does not squeak or rattle. The materials in this civic hold up really well. I love how it drives on the freeway and in town as well. It was a great purchase. - Purchased a New car
