The sedan body style may not be consumers’ first choice anymore — or even their second choice, for that matter — but for those who still appreciate the elegance and opulence of a true luxury four-door car, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the very definition of choice. Opting for that adjective comes at a price, however, and the E-Class ain’t cheap, as you’ll learn in one of Cars.com’s most popular news stories of the past month: our pricing report on the 2026 E-Class.

The E-Class’ last redesign was for the 2024 model year, so updates for 2026 were made with the very lightest touch — namely a newly standard biometric fingerprint scanner for profile authentication. Otherwise, it’s the same luxurious, well-appointed, feature-packed, fleet-footed mid-size sedan you looked at on the lot of your local dealership a year ago. The only other thing changing meaningfully is the price, as buyers will pay some $1,550 more for the 2026 base trim than for the outgoing version. The 2026 E350 starts at $65,150, rises to $67,650 and $73,550 for the E350 4Matic and E450 4Matic, respectively, and tops out at $90,850 for the high-performance AMG E53 variant (all prices include destination charge).

In other popular pricing news further down the list of popular articles from October, the 2026 Acura RDX also goes unchanged from the previous model year, with the luxury compact SUV getting only a nominal cost increase of $400 at the base. The RDX now starts at $46,450, rising incrementally across the next three trim levels — the Technology Package, A-Spec and Advance Package — before topping out at $56,200 for the A-Spec with Advance Package.
