2006-2012 Toyota RAV4 Coupling Issue

The problem: A growling noise may come from the rear end while driving due to a faulty rear differential coupling front bearing.
Vehicles affected by service bulletin:
- 2006 Toyota RAV4
- 2007 Toyota RAV4
- 2008 Toyota RAV4
- 2009 Toyota RAV4
- 2010 Toyota RAV4
- 2011 Toyota RAV4
- 2012 Toyota RAV4
Equipped with four-wheel drive.
Corrective action: Dealers will replace the rear differential coupling.
Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Toyota’s powertrain warranty, which lasts five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The repair may also qualify under Toyota’s extended warranty.
