GM thought it would have the new-truck news market covered today. But no; the competition was waiting. The 2007 Ford F-150 may not be redesigned like the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, but Ford has beefed up its towing capacity to meet that of the two new GM trucks.
Otherwise the F-150 is pretty much the same inside and out. Ford is offering two new models, the FX2 Sport, shown here, and a Harley Davidson Super Crew edition. The 2007 F-150 also costs up to $1,400 less than the 2006 model. In a class where towing means a lot to consumers, Ford just gave itself a little breathing room until the F-150 is updated in 2009.
