Ford Prices New Edge Crossover Under $26,000
Ford just announced pricing for the all-new Edge crossover this afternoon right here in the Chicago area. Our man Kelsey Mays is on the scene checking out this vitally important model for Ford and will report more on that later today. For now we can tell you the front-wheel-drive Edge SE will start at $25,995 and the all-wheel-drive model will start at $27,645. All prices include destination charges. All Edge models feature Ford’s new 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 265 hp and 250 pounds-feet of torque.
Standard features include an electronic stability system with rollover mitigation, antilock brakes and front and rear side-curtain airbags. The price seems on track with others in the segment, though Mazda’s CX-7 starts for almost $2,000 less.

Ford Edge SE key standard features:
- 3.5-liter V-6 mated to six-speed automatic transmission delivers 265 hp and 250 pounds-feet of torque (anticipated fuel economy in the mid-20s for highway driving)
- Front-wheel drive

- Second-row 60/40-split fold-flat seats
- MP3 audio input jack
- 17-inch painted aluminum wheels

The Ford Edge SEL offers additional features, including chrome tipped dual exhaust, a six-disc CD changer, a Convenience Package, a body-colored rear spoiler and fog lamps. It costs $27,990 for front-wheel-drive models and $29,640 for all-wheel-drive models.
Option packages available on the Edge SEL include:
- Premium Package – Dual electronic temperature control with particulate air filter; exterior puddle lamps; heated seats and exterior mirrors; leather trim on front- and second-row seats; memory seats; memory exterior mirrors; steering wheel climate controls
- Seating Flexibility Package – Six-way power passenger seat; flat-folding front-row passenger seatback; second-row EasyFold remote release seatback; leather trim on front- and second-row seats; memory seats
Options exclusive to the Edge SEL include:
- 18-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels or 18-inch painted aluminum sport wheels
- Audiophile sound system with CDX6, nine speakers and steering wheel controls
- DVD-based navigation system with Audiophile sound system
- Reverse sensing system
- Rear-seat DVD entertainment system
- Class-exclusive two-panel panoramic VistaRoof with dual power shades
Options available on all Edge models include:
- All-wheel drive
- SIRIUS Satellite Radio with six-month subscription
- Class II trailer towing (up to 3,500 pounds maximum towing capability)
