2009-2014 BMW Trunk Issue

The problem: Affected vehicles may have trunk deck springs that have come loose and will not keep the trunk open while accessing the cargo area. This is due to faulty trunk deck springs.

Corrective action: Dealers will diagnose the condition, and if confirmed, replace both trunk deck springs.
Warranty info: This service bulletin is being performed free of charge under the BMW limited new-vehicle or extended warranty, whichever applies.
