2010-2013 Suzuki Kizashi: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 21,000 model-year 2010-13 Suzuki Kizashi sedans

The Problem: The front passenger-seat occupant classification system may misclassify an adult occupant as a child and deactivate the front airbag, preventing deployment in the event of a crash and increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: The remedy is still under development.

What Owners Should Do: Suzuki did not immediately provide a notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 714-572-1490, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4263 or go to www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
