Vehicle Overview
Ford’s Focus compact car is sold as a sedan in base S, SE, SES and SEL trims. Competitors include the Chevrolet Cobalt, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

New for 2011
The Focus coupe has been discontinued for 2011.

Exterior
The Focus features Ford’s bar-style grille that also appears on the front of the Fusion and Edge. Exterior features include:

• Standard 15-inch wheels
• Standard body-colored front and rear bumpers
• Standard chrome grille
• Optional chrome handles and mirrors
• Optional power mirrors
• Optional rear spoiler
• Optional chrome tailpipe
• Optional 16- or 17-inch wheels

Interior
All Focus models seat five. A driver’s message center with fuel economy readings is standard. The gauges and buttons have blue backlighting. Audio system readouts are consolidated in a dash-top display. Selectable ambient lighting for the cupholders and footwells is available, and the system has seven different hues with which you can customize the look of the interior. All models get a 60/40-split folding rear bench. Interior features include:

• Standard message center with fuel-economy readouts

Under the Hood
The Focus is powered by a 140-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 136 pounds-feet of torque. Five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions are available.

Safety
Driving dynamics are enhanced, with a standard electronic stability system on all models. The standard MyKey system, which encourages safer driving for teens, allows parents to limit the vehicle’s top speed, add a persistent seat-belt reminder, limit the volume on the stereo to 44 percent of its maximum volume, and have a speed chime activate at 45, 55 or 65 mph. Other safety features include:

• Standard side-impact airbags for both rows
• Standard side curtain airbags for both rows
• Occupant-sensing airbag inflation regulator
