As a competitor to the Honda Pilot (full disclosure: I own a 2003 Pilot), it has just as many bells and whistles, but the interior materials quality is about the same as the previous Highlander’s, and that remains an area for Toyota to continue working on. They’re passable, but hardly industry-leading.
