Despite its age, the Ford Escape was a terrific seller for the automaker, which didn’t mess with the winning formula for as long as possible. But for 2013, the all-new Escape is a substantially different crossover from the one it replaces, according to Cars.com Executive Editor Joe Wiesenfelder. Its design seems to have more in common with the Fiesta and Focus small cars than it does with Ford’s crossovers and SUVs.
