As far as the design and interior materials, the Sonic makes a similar leap over its previous model just like the Cruze did to the Cobalt.

On the show floor, the few Sonic sedans on display have a mean stance with a minimal gap between the tires and fenders. Chevrolet says engineers from Corvette’s suspension team were called to design the Sonic’s suspension. We’ll find out what this means for driving when we get behind the wheel, but they did a great job getting the ride height sorted.
