2014-2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Engine Issue

The problem: Affected vehicles may be hard to start when the engine coolant temperature is low (between 32 and 68 degrees). This is due to a software glitch.

Vehicles affected by this service bulletin:

  • 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
  • 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander
  • Equipped with 3.0-liter V-6 engines

Corrective action: Dealers will update the engine control module software.

Warranty info: This service bulletine is being performed free of charge under the Mitsubishi new-vehicle or extended warranty, whichever applies.
