Vehicles Affected: Approximately 70,000 model-year 2015-18 Porsche Macan SUVs

The Problem: The fuel pump service cover may contact the flow nozzle on the filter flange of the fuel pump, potentially causing cracks and a fuel leak that, in the presence of an ignition source, may increase the risk of a fire.

The Fix: The remedy for this issue was still under development.

What Owners Should Do: Porsche will begin notifying owners April 10. Owners can call the automaker at 800-767-7243, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
