Vehicle Overview
BMW’s X5 luxury crossover SUV was redesigned last year. It’s offered with rear- or all-wheel drive and comes with a choice of three turbocharged engines, including a turbo-diesel six-cylinder. The X5 can seat five people in two rows or seven with an optional third row. Competitors include the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Acura MDX.
New for 2015
BMW has revised the X5’s eight-speed automatic transmission and zero-to-60-mph times have dropped 0.1 to 0.2 seconds, according to the automaker. A sport leather steering wheel is now standard, and keyless access goes in the X5 xDrive50i trim level.
