Vehicle Overview

The S3 is a performance version of the A3 sedan that comes with a 292-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter gas four-cylinder and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission.

Here’s info on the regular A3:
Audi redesigned the subcompact A3 line last year, replacing the previous generation hatchback with sedan and convertible body styles while adding a performance-oriented S3 sedan model. Engine choices include turbocharged 1.8- and 2.0-liter gas four-cylinders and, for the A3 sedan, a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel. Both body styles are available with front- or all-wheel drive.  Competitors include the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, Acura ILX and BMW 2 Series.
New for 2016
The A3 adds a backup camera, parking sensors, heated side mirrors and washer nozzles, and Alu-optic interior trim as standard equipment.
