2016 Ford Focus RS Photo Gallery
The 2016 Ford Focus RS — the first-ever U.S. availability for the high-performance variant of Ford’s compact car — won’t make its first pit stop at dealerships until next spring, but we got a close look at the Focus RS last month at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.

The four-door hatchback’s face looks like an angry manta ray, peering at you through skeptical, slit headlights, with a gaping maw of a grille flanked by gill-like intakes. Performance flourishes abound, distinguishing it from its mild-mannered pedigree, most notably its blacked-out wheels, rear spoiler and RS badging in the front and rear. That track theme continues into the cockpit as black-and-gray upholstery with contrast stitching covers sport seats, also embossed with the RS identifier.
Under the hood is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that makes 350 horsepower and equivalent pounds-feet of torque, good for a 4.7-second zero-to-62-mph sprint. Check out the gallery below.
