The Problem: The manual Park release plug may be removed without a tool, which could cause the manual Park release to engage and the vehicle to potentially roll away, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: Dealers will dealers will replace the manual Park release plug for free.
What Owners Should Do: Chrysler automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners Aug. 3. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
