2017-2018 Land Rover Discovery: Recall Alert

2018 Land Rover Discovery

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,500 model-year 2017-18 Land Rover Discovery SUVs

The Problem: When towing a trailer with the trailer lights connected to the trailer socket and the vehicle’s daytime running lights are on, the trailer lights may not function and following traffic won’t be aware the SUV is slowing down or stopping, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will update the body control module software for free.

What Owners Should Do: Land Rover will begin notifying owners May 8. Owners can call the automaker at 800-637-6837, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
